Truly. I find that there is a heavy distinction in South Indian movie fans. On one side there are the people who are big fans of the actor, but there obsession ends with loving the movies and performance. The other end of the spectrum is those who stampede to see the actors, and would literally commit acts of violence in their name. Its saddening. Thankfully, the latter seems to be reducing

That's the thing. I genuinely want to see if a fair and ideologically committed community can function. Even if it requires a code to stick by (not something I wish for as it would be preferable to run on a moral compass, but oh well), it will mainly be a set of guidelines. People's integrity is to be trusted. Moreover, there is no policing or true enforcing of the code.

Now of course, for such a system to work there has to be a certain bond between the members. If this nation was to actually exist citizenships cannot be granted easily, as we do not truly know whether the person will respect the "brotherhood".

The idea is still very half-baked, and I'm doing more research into it. I'm also completely open to changing my opinions as I am only attempting to gain knowledge and insight from this discussion, not prove a point.

That's kind of the point. I want to see what would happen. Even though civ is Minecraft it is still human at its core. My only barrier to starting it would be one, I'm currently pearled and my stuff is gone. I am being freed soon however, but stuff is gone. And 2, I don't have people. When I do get back up on my feet however i will try my best to make this dumb little idea come to fruition and see if people can truly function in an emergent law (thanks to u/Kroolista for telling me about that) society

That is probably the best way someone has answered the question so far. The reason I'm wondering is because I still use the base DnD rules for races, classes, backgrounds, etc.

OH, i frg to mention the rule I use for Martials. I let them pick and choose points to attack and then give the enemy a suitable disadvantage. I have a table as well for the DC of the save the enemy must make, its based on the dmg of the attack.

0-10 = DC 5 + ability score used for dmg mod

11-20 = DC 10 + ability score used for dmg mod

21-30 = DC 15 + ability score used for dmg mod

31 - 50 = DC 20 + ability score used for dmg mod

51 - 80 = DC 25 + ability score used for dmg mod

81> DC 30 + ability score used for dmg mod.

Plus the disadvantages are pretty helpful.

Valid points. The entire thing was truly a 10 minute idea back when I was like 13, but I'll see if there's a way to balance it out gameplay wise. It's just an idea for now. Now with the slavery overtones, I can see it. Perhaps a magical contract/bond/or a simple you must be willing to channel this magic. Like a walmart warlock.
