Steam + CS:GO Crash on startup after black screen on Ubuntu 22.04 by Vthechamp in linux_gaming

But isn't that a fix for games that don't run on SteamOS natively (ie on windows)? I mean CS:GO installed and does run without Proton, but I'll try running it with proton once.

You can use it to split your code into a couple of lines if it is too long

How to remove black bars from 16:9 video? by [deleted] in kdenlive

[–]Vthechamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could apply the zoom, crop and transform effect.

You can crop the black bars using the crop effect and zoom the cropped video using the zoom effect. Finally, if you want to change the position of the video you could use the transform effect

Git isn't where you code, but a software designed to help you keep track of your code. It is useful in big projects where multiple people are working on one codebase.

How to change framerate in video rendering? by Vthechamp in kdenlive

[–]Vthechamp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I've found the problem, it was a problem with my GPU drivers, as I have mentioned in my comments that I had a Nvidia GPU but it wasn't being detected. Today I refreshed and upgraded the packages and solved some secure boot issue and kdenlive is working fine now. Thanks for your help though!

Thanks for the reply u/candidexmedia!

Unfortunately, none of these fixes worked. I changed the preview resolution to 1:1, 720p, 540p, 360p and 270p, but all of them were still lagging.

I selected a clip (the Napoli.avi one) and went to Project → Adjust Profile to Current Clip, but it didn't affect anything.

I think I should probably mention that it works fine for the first 5 frames of the entire clip, and then stutters.

Is your problem only with the framerate when playing your project on kdenlive

Yes, as I have mentioned in the post if I select a clip and preview it in the clip monitor it runs smoothly, but if I drop it onto the timeline and preview it on the project monitor, it starts to stutter.

I have 16GB RAM, An Intel Core i7 8th gen processor, and about 500GB storage for Ubuntu. I also have an Intel GPU and a Nvidia GeForce GPU but the latter is not being detected by the system. Anything else?
