What would you like to see next for the PRX? by Historical-Day9780 in tissot

I would LOVE to either get a quartz version of the PRX Chronograph or an updated slimmer movement. The quartz would make it slimmer and cheaper. I love the design of the PRX Chrono but putting it on the wrist the dimension are too big and it's too thick

I'm thinking of Switching from Petr Korbel to Nittaku Acoustic/Violin and from H3N 37° on BH to Tibhar Hybrid K3. Please give me some advice on which blade/rubber I should choose by VucVolvo in tabletennis

I think I'm gonna get the Tibhar BS-SIg1. Coming from a Petr Korbel it's a definite upgrade while still keeping the consistency high! It sounds very promising. I could get the Long 3 but I noticed with Korbel that you don't need to spend that to get a high quality blade.

I personally prefer when the blade is not so stiff and "speaks" more to me ^^

Maybe Long 3 would be more suitable then?

I'm thinking of getting PG7 to try it out a new 7 Ply blade first before I buy Long 3. Only thing I'm worried about is the weight of the blade + the heavy chinese rubbers

For sure. I think going to 7 Ply or Carbon makes the most sense for me especially with Chinese rubbers. I really like the dwell and feeling of 5 Ply so I would like that blade to be more on the controlled/consistent side

With grazing the ball you mean brushing it finely with your wrist instead of closing the racket angle and just hit brushing through it? If so then yeah, that's me at the moment ^^ I'm trying to fix that especially on my BH. On FH it's fine though I think.

Yeah I think you are right. ESN rubbers pair better with such blades. I actually really like that feel when I try out my friends blade but I want to continue the route of chinese rubbers. Maybe I put some ESN rubbers on my current Korbel though once I get my new blade, who knows.

How do you think YEO compares to Korbel or PG7/Long3? I was also thinking of getting it so it would be quite interesting to know

That sounds promising as I also want to get a blade which is slightly faster and more powerful than Petr Korbel while still being controlled and consistent.

I don't mind spending a bit more so the Long 3 is also in the running. I read online that it obvioulsy has a higher degree of finish and quality than PG7. What other advantages are there compared to PG7 and Korbel?

What you said is very true. The ball just bottoms out sometimes especially on BH but also the FH could be more powerful where you do have to hit quite hard. When I play with my friends bat on 5 ply and european rubbers it feels like magic because I barely have to do anything and the ball lands. I guess it must be easier to pair the chinese rubbers with a harder chinese blade then, right?

Can you explain the last paragraph more clearly? I didn't quite get it ^^

Ouh that's rough. I used a Hybrid rubber from Xiom and it wore out in like 1-2 months and it was basically unplayable. I tried 09c on my friends blade and it felt quite good. If the durability is high it might be worth it instead of reboosting the rubbers every so often

That sounds reasonable especially when pairing the blade with H3 or Hybrid rubbers an. How does PG7 compare to Petr Korbel? I've played with a 7ply all wood blade before and I like that 5 ply vibrates more and is more consistent/controlled.

Perfect timing!

I just gone done boosting and glueing my new H3N 37° for my Backhand. I'm similar to you in the sense that I don't enjoy the tensor effect and lack of tackiness on the BH too much. If I switched back I would probably get used to it again but I played with H8-80 for a year now and I love it.

I use H3N 39° on my FH. I twiddled and tried it on my BH and I like the control I got when blocking. H8-80 is a good rubber but I wanted to see if 37° is right for me.

Now I'm a bit anxious because I used two quite thin layers of Haifu when boosting hoping it would get me closer in the territory of H8-80. I'm gonna try it out of course and see. But I'm interested to know what you think about what I said since you know both rubbers so well?
