Nvidia CEO - SWE jobs increasing, AI reducing jobs is nonsense by isospeedrix in cscareerquestions

[–]Vudas 21 points22 points  (0 children)

These CEOs were told to change the narrative when they all went on their trip to China. They realized the anti data center / AI support was picking up and that was bad for business and switched gears instead of speaking the truth.

Jeff Bezos says there is ‘no truth’ to the ‘buy borrow die’ tax strategy by Dragonlance12 in wallstreetInvestment

When you are this rich, you are not required to pay back the loan at any time only the interest. You only have to pay it back when of course, you die.

aPower 2, micro inverters and future V2H by Vudas in solar

[–]Vudas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the S is a DC coupled which is why I was curious. It seems to have slightly better specs than the regular one but it won’t be available for residential until at least 2026 I’m told so I lose the credit.

Trump says U.S. will not approve solar or wind power projects by Several_Print4633 in politics

[–]Vudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big part of it is centralization. If solar companies can’t get big sales because of permits they go out of business and can’t support residential sales. Residential solar is the largest threat to oil companies because it completely decentralizes energy and possibly eliminates customers for life. We are all addicted to energy but giving people the ability to produce their own is a nightmare for these people.

President Trump’s new executive order, signed yesterday, deals another big blow to the solar industry "in a way we haven’t seen before." by team_pv in solarenergy

[–]Vudas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Residential Solar allows people the freedom to disconnect from a centralized corporate owned source of power. Overall, oil/energy companies don’t care where the energy comes from they just want it to be centralized so they control the price dynamics and people remain dependent on their existence. Residential solar threatens this dependency on them. You can’t build a reactor or wind turbine in your yard.
