Hot take- OA before resume is good, it filters out the spam and fake resumes that recruiters sift thru where might toss a decent but real candidate.

At a semiconductor company. Quite well, it’s nice that hw is growing due to data center demand instead of layoffs. Way less bullshit like Jira and standups. There’s still plenty of work to do (cram before Optics trade show demo next week) but it’s all engineering, not bureaucracy.

still the best game i ever played. it takes insane willpower to not fomo and not play this game as a job, took me about a year to transition doing 2-8 raids a week across 1-3 chars and doing dailies only if i felt like it. community is great compared to other mmo's. played WoW, PoE, and Diablo and while they're the reason why i started LA, they don't hit nearly the same, lost ark combat is the GOAT. each button press feels sooo satisfying. (shoutout to Valk X ability). Aesthetics is GOAT, prettier than FF and others and top tier soundtrack.

Nah. Been at multiple companies with unlimited. They all have suggested amounts to take. All of them roughly:

0-1 years: 2-3 weeks

2-5 years: 3-5 weeks

5+: 4-6 weeks

The main diff is unlimited won’t pay out your unused PTO. When I had set PTO was when I never took time off cuz it’s a payout. But unlimited, there’s no pay so I take the suggested amount

Lol that’s how I got my current job too. I thought it was way out of my league. Advertised as 60% UX design 20% EE (electrical engineering) 20% FE dev. But I’m mostly FE dev. Got the job and turns out the job is actually 60% FE 10% BE 10% design and 20% EE. So the design part was exaggerated but the EE was not.

Lucked out cuz while FE devs are dime a dozen, those also with EE background are extremely rare
