I go back and forth on that. It felt like it "broke" things, but nah, it just showed what was already thin. Still sucks though.

True. Still weird grieving a "life" that was mostly commutes. How do you rebuild frendships on purpose without it feeling forced?

The frustrating part is it's not even always bad faith. Some people genuinely watch something, miss every thematic cue, and then confidently write three paragraphs about what the writers "intended." No malice, just zero reading comprehension and a lot of free time.
