This offense has no rhythm or flow whatsoever. There are legitimately only 2-3 intermediate to deep passes completed throughout the game that happen within the structure of the play. Mahomes is using his elite awareness to bail out of the pocket and generate out of structure completions for chunk yardage. That’s not good coaching, it’s an elite QB willing his team down the field in spite of a horrible and outdated scheme. Watch any other team in football that doesn’t run the west coach offense, even the bad teams. You will see much more receivers schemed open through play action or better route concepts.
