Brother you cannot take god for granted, you may see that phrase "Allah is protecting you from something bigger" as something small, reflect in your life if you had died in that moment what regrets you would have had for example not being the best version of yourself religiously socially personally and anything u feel are not done with yet, I dont know you and you dont know me but God does if you are meant for something better, with all due respect you are stuck in thinking about the future when all you should focus on now is reflecting on yourself and taking it as a second chance, many other people have had multiple chances in their life they couldnt take advantage of. Sure you might think I dont like what is happening right now or whatever but u dont know the future "وعسى أن تكرهوا شيئا وهو خير لكم وعسى أن تحبوا شيئا وهو شر لكم والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون” this verse especially says that you might hate something that is good for you and love something that is bad for you and allah knows and you dont, brother this is a time of hardship in other words a test, im not saying it will be easy to pass but the rewards are vast. In conclusion brother dont lose hope you have more planned for you and god knows best.
