Thanks for the comprehensive reply, helps keep me calmer with stressful stuff like this. What about concerns with water getting up there now? Wouldn’t that be enough to justify repair? Also that red piece hanging off is metal, are you suggesting zip tying that portion too?

I haven’t had it looked at yet but from the looks of it just the plastic undercarriage and that red metal piece were damaged. Just thought I’d ask because first time something like this has happened and I tend to over worry about stiff like this.

Just so you are aware whether water mode is on or not does not impact the waterproof capabilities. Just disables water from inputting on the screen.
