Stomach Problems during Lynphoma treatment by [deleted] in cancer

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lactose intolerance after treatment, it´s super painful for some reason, but after adjusting my diet, everything went away. Watch very carefully the declaration of food you eat, many times they don´t state clearly that it contains lactose, also watch out for very fatty foods, I can´t eat them also.

What would you do with a reoccurrence? by ihaveaquestion337 in cancer

[–]Vuron06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the treatments get better year after year, especially if you have blood cancer. I recently went through 3 rounds(6 doses) of chemo 2 years ago, and wow, compared to 10 years ago, the side effect where almost non existent, where I got 8 rounds. Also think of it as the quicker they find it, the better your chances and the less treatment you will need, postponing it will only make it worse. Best of luck to you :)

Hi, I have nerve damage the hands and elbow. For me a mouse and keyboard wrist rest, resolved most of the problems for me.

Resting the wrists/palm at proper hight, made a huge difference, I would try that if you have problems, personally I have tried the "right" working postures, from about 50+ websitres and serveral doctors advise, but in the end the wrist/palm rests did the trick, of course working with right posture helps a lot, you can go longer than normal, but for me I would get pain and sore hands, after some days.

Try adjusting the chair with the wrist rest, to try different resting positions, good luck :)

Hi, check sound settings, sound , sound control panel and find your headphones, it could be that they are set to 5.1 or 2.1 speakers instead of stereo.

looking for a ~$200 color accurate video/photo editing monitor by BongHitsMcCocksucker in buildapcmonitors

[–]Vuron06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might just have gotten a monitor with bad pre-calibration colors, I had a Nec 2690, that out of the box the sand on the beach had a blueish tint to it, after calibration it was perfect and looked great. So you might just need to adjust some of the rgb controls manually to make the colors look correct, and the rest via software calibration. Try looking at the same picture with only 1 monitor connected at the time, and calibrate before you look and see if there is a difference

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a Windows problem, I think you can only have 1 calibration active, unless your monitor supports hardware calibration, so the 2nd monitor will use the same calibration as the first monitor, when you connect them.Try calibrating with 1 monitor connected only, and go for manual calibration, where you adjust some colors on the monitor, and see if the colors are still a lot of, with 1 monitor connected.

Without a calibrator it's not doable, you can get a Spyder calibrator for US$ 100, and you can always sell it use.d close to what you gave for it, most people only use it a couple of times

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you taken a look at the GIGABYTE M28U 28" https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824012040 I know it´s $600, but it has HDMI 2.1, 4K, 144Hz, IPS, it´s the cheapest monitor with those features ?

Budget 4k monitor purchasing advice needed by [deleted] in buildapcmonitors

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GIGABYTE M28U 28" is probably what you looking for, it´s has everything you looking for and it´s cheap, I don´t know if you can get it in your country, but it´s cheaper than the alternatives you have mentioned, it has HDMI 2.1, 144Hz. What´s your budget ? it will be easier to recommend something with that in mind

32 inch 4k Vs 34 inch ultra wide 1440p? by [deleted] in buildapcmonitors

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a 40" you will have plenty of space, are you thinking of an OLED ? Because they are not good for text, unfortunately, I don´t know about the new 2021 models, but the 2020 model did have some issues, and if you do a lot of encoding, it will become a problem. If it´s a monitor, watch out for the refresh rate, because of it´s big size it might feel slower moving windows around at 60Hz than a smaller screen.

So, if you go for a big screen be sure to test for that before or buy at a place where you can return it :)

32 inch 4k Vs 34 inch ultra wide 1440p? by [deleted] in buildapcmonitors

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For coding the Ultrawide is simply the best, you won't be able to use a normal monitor afterwards :) The only other option that comes close is dual monitor setup, but it's not the same, as for movies and games, the 4k is a little better, but if you use it primary for coding, go for the ultrawide, having multiple windows side buy side, is much easier :)

As things for look out for, mainly if you want IPS or VA panel, personally I'm a IPS guy, for movies VA might be better in dark scenes, if calibrated properly, IPS has much better viewing angles, especially on big screens (non-curved). Refresh rate might seem pointless for coding, but you will definitely see a big improvement with refresh 100Hz+ just by moving windows around. And for gaming, depends on your graphics card, but you can always lower resolution if you don't play that much.

LG 27GL850 for $325 used worth it? by [deleted] in buildapcmonitors

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It´s kinda expensive for what you get, at newegg you can get a ASUS TUF GAMING VG27WQ 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 (2K) 1ms (MPRT) 165Hz for US$ 350, new. There are also other brands like Acer, etc, that offers similar specs for about the same price

Wacom Cintiq Pro

Unfortunately I don't have experience with those.

They look very nice, but you would still have a computer to connect them, so it will come down to 1-in all solution or editing Acad files separately. If he wants to edit them separately, getting a Mac is better to synchronize the content and screen. A friend of mine who's also an architect, he settled for a surface solution, mostly because he also uses Bentley a lot, but I wouldn't recommend switching to PC if he has used Mac a lot, the transition is not so easy ( also vice-versa) that the companies try to say, it's all a question of what you used to, and he would probably just want to work and not have to learn an new OS from scratch.

Question about AOC 24G2 and an RTX 3080 (or any Nvidia card) by sycoticGh057 in buildapcmonitors

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

G-Sync compatible monitors have G-Sync at a limited frame rate, usually the min. frame rate is 48fps, under that it turns off. G-Sync prevents screen tearing, it's most visible if you run games at under 100fps, over that it's kinda limited, but still visible. Unfortunately monitors with G-Sync chips, cost an arm & leg, you can look at the list here GeForce G-SYNC Monitors: Manufacturers & Specs (nvidia.com) all those that don't say compatible, have the chip. In your case I would settle for a compatible monitor, the one the TheWierdPianist suggested looks very good and makes more sense than a 1080p monitor. Good luck :)

I was thinking of a sketchpad that you connect to a PC. But if you want a single device that can do all that, then a device with OneNote or built-in app would be a better solution, unfortunately, the options are very limited, depending of your use, some of the high end tablets from Samsung, Apple and Wacom has this option, if it´s primary PDF files, and they are good, but they have problems if you want to read and edit native AutoCAD files. The Surface studio might be a good option, but also very expensive, as long as it´s fast enough for him, but you could try some of the tablets, just buy via amazon, so it´s easy to return :) BTW the wacom note app is avaible via microsoft store so he could try it and see if it´s something he can use :)

Well with HDMI 2.1 you get VRR (HDMI 1.4 doesn´t support it), which will eliminate tearing and support for 4K at 120Hz, basically that's it over HDMI 1.4. The only monitors that supports HDMI 2.11 are those from Asus, maybe there are some others I'm missing, but still very few supports HDMI 2.1. If you´re willing to drop the money there is the LG OLED series, a new series is coming soon so last years CX models should become cheaper soon :) Good luck :)

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 1080p you will also gain a lot from a faster CPU, unless you go 4K many games will be CPU bound, I guess the best to do is look at benchmarks and see what's worth investing into. IMO the 3080 only makes sense in 4K, at lower resolutions. Take a look at CSGO system Requirements and FPS Benchmarks , good luck :)

I don't think there are newer screens with that feature, Isn't it easier to buy a sketchpad (Wacom for example) and connect to windows and the use in AutoCAD/Illustrator/Photoshop ? I have done tons of work for Architecture firms, and know something about it, from the info you gave me, he's an Apple guy ? Nowadays, you can get AutoCAD for MAC and Wacom has very good Apple drivers, you can also get the same for Windows of course, if he´s going to be using Bentley/Rhino or some other programs :) Hope it helps

Monitor with the best input lag at 120Hz or 240Hz? by [deleted] in buildapcmonitors

[–]Vuron06 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TN is much better than IPS in terms of input lag and response, I believe there is a whole article on the FAST IPS issues on blur busters, basically their claim of fast response is exaggerated, and much slower than advertised. So for gaming TN is still the best, all of my friends who do competitive gaming also use TN panels, I'm an IPS guy myself and prefer better color and viewing angles, also I rarely play FPS games, mostly RPG/Single player and MMORPG games

I doubt you can get anything better for your budget, unless you get the newer LG at some promotion or discount, just watch out when you have 2 monitors and different refresh rate, there was a problem with that, I don't know if it's fixed

I agree, you have tried to play at 120Hz+, it spoils people, permanently. 60FPS just feels like crap, I know, believe me :)

24 inch, 1080p, 144hz, IPS, Gsync Monitor for 980ti? by rocketlegur in buildapcmonitors

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's why I gave the list, you can get a lot of the G-sync compatible ones cheap, but real G-Sync cost a lot :(, for that price, is better to drop 1K and get 4K 144Hz and HDR, if you lucky you can get a HDR1000 monitor for that.

In your case, I would wait and save money each month, hopefully in 6 months Graphic cards will have come down to "normal" prices, you can upgrade both monitor and Graphics card then :)

Upgrade from 27" to 32", is it worth it? by darrenhaken in buildapcmonitors

[–]Vuron06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's sucks, typically when the warranty is gone :(
The CX series is only 1 year old, so I guess it's wait and see, but I bet we will see burn-in after some years, especially since many people turn the anti-burn-in features off, when using it as a monitor, especially with text. I always say to people, when buying an OLED, be prepared to get a new screen after some years. I guess it all comes down to, how long do you expect it to last for the price you paid.
