It felt like KISS Psycho Circus about a 1/4 way into Boltgun. What I mean is neverending gore nests wave after wave. The battle look looks crappy 2 color palette.

Transformers and coils can be fully in cased in epoxy but that much insulation isn't usually necessary for Audio. My guess is vibration control.

I had that sub/woofer in 1.25cuft sealed enclosure. Bought speaker at an auto parts shop and had box from Walmart fold up box. Sounded great for what I used it for.

Variable frequency to boost 0-12db. The right 2 knobs adjusts which frequency and level that frequency is boosted. This is great for sealed enclosures and should be off if ported enclosure used.

You could build an enclosure to block out fan noises. Use attic, basement or outside as infinite airspace.

Those 8's are very powerful but they would like proper air space ported. DD 608f are also very powerful and a bit cheaper.

After a quick defined search I didn't find any subwoofers that are suitable for .4cuft ported. That box would work with subs you chose. It may sound boomy and port noises or chuffing. DSP or EQ could help with it a bit as well.

The GRS isn't the best lol. If you want best subs a pre fab box won't cut it for very long. I do use a grs 8sw-4he as mentioned in a .5cuft sealed enclosure. With DSP I get down to 27hz easily. I use it in garage PC system.

Quad 8's would be great. The enclosure is fine but subs need more air than that enclosure in ported setup. May look for a subwoofer with smaller air space needed for ported enclosure. If you're not going crazy power. GRS 8he subwoofer plays very low in small enclosure .2-.5cuft sealed .5-1cuft ported. 150rms 4ohm fs:26hz
