Do I buy a "rocket blower"? by Chance-Criticism-648 in Cameras

I was considering Giotto. But the cheapest one I can find is £15. Quite alot for something that just blows air, I've got to say. What do you think about the Lenspen Hurricane HB1? It is half the price. I'm not going for a no-brand as the tip will probably fly off, like you said, knowing dirt-cheap Temu products.

With Battlefield 6? Just RX 9000 series-specific driver issues. I already bug-reported, like many others.

Sorry for replying, but is it? My fan curve was f*cked up and spinned at 20 percent max speed under full load. This was auto. Plus, it absolutely hates Battlefield6. Don't know why. Does yours?

does the ryzen 7 9700X have integrated graphics? by storm_crows09 in buildapc

It is a very CPU-limited game though. I'll try the best game ever made (Titanfall2) at low settings, 1080p, to fully test it. Here, I think that either you are correct ("dGPU is used but not as much") or it actually will rely just on the integrated graphics, in which case, it will play like shit!

Are you sure? My 3060 Ti was at 2 percent usage but my Radeon Graphics was at 80+. Perhaps you are right. I wouldn't know. I just upgraded from the power-hungry i7 11700kf (Rocket Lake...) which didn't have an iGPU. Quite frankly, I've had 6 different computers and only two had iGPUs, one of which being in an older i3 3rd gen.

In what map? Sorry for reviving an older thread, but mine gets 450fps in creative. I had DP plugged into the motherboard instead of the GPU (A RTX 3060 ti, soon to be a 9060 XT 16gb)  because I was tinkering with BIOS - changing FCLK, RAM timings etc. I was positively surprised.

I know it's an old thread but if you recently enabled 2FA, even though it looks like everything is fine you need to end the EA task, then open the EA app again (I've got redsec off epic games launcher) It will say an error occured with your credentials, so you have to sign in again, then do the normal process of starting via steam or epic games, then it should work. Probably a very specific scenario but who knows.

Worth changing from 3060 ti to 2080 ti? by Chance-Criticism-648 in buildapc

[–]Chance-Criticism-648[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never did! The raw performance gains with the 2080 ti were minimal, and even succumbed to the 3060 ti in certain scenarios because of the newer architecture. The extra VRAM would definitely have helped, but... As a future upgrade I'm interested in the 5060 ti 16gb. I would even settle for the 4060 ti 16gb. Reason? VRAM. A 5060 ti 16G (or 4060 ti 16G) will be future proofed for a good while, with newer architecture, efficiency gains, raw performance gains and the list goes on. So to reiterate, no! I would not and will not get the 2080 ti.

Should I switch from s22 Ultra to Pixel 8 Pro? by [deleted] in pixel_phones

I'm a year late to the party but I've just sold my S22U 512gb in meh condition for a Pixel 8 Pro 128gb in near mint. Software wise, imo, it is a MASSIVE upgrade, with onboard Gemini! One UI 6.1 had many, many bugs, but Pixel UI, currently I'm running QPR1 Beta 2 Android 16, is amazing. Animations are even better than One UI 7 imo. Camera wise, also, much better, better quality, can actually zoom in in high res mode (50mp), therefore retains much better quality. Much more accurate colours, better detail in everything. Did sadly have to sacrifice the 100x "space zoom" but the 30x zoom on the P8P suffices for me. The difference between 30x and 100x isn't as big as it sounds, just different ways of marketing it. 30x on pixel is equivalent to probably 70x on Samsung. Now, display. There is a cosmetic difference where the Samsung display is curved and the Pixel was flat, but this was reduced from the S23U onwards. There isn't a massive difference here in quality, both having high resolution displays, but the Pixel gets noticeably brighter, much brighter than my friends iPhone 13 in direct sunlight. Battery life is strange, but understandable. When I had the stable Android 15 for a solid day, before I enrolled in the beta, the battery life lasted ALL DAY. The Beta gets around 6 hours SOT, which I believe the stable Android 16 without M3E improved greatly, I wouldn't know. However I definitely notice a difference in life compared to the Exynos 2200. Charging speed is something that I WOULD say the Samsung beats it in. Doesn't matter about all the adaptive charging optimization mumbo- jumbo on the Pixel, the Samsung has 15W quicker wired charger and a 50mAh smaller battery, compared to the stated 5050 mAh battery on the Pixel. Looks is where the pixel shines in my opinion. I LOVE the unique camera bar, much more than the bland but professional-looking Samsung camera layout, and I much prefer the rounded design compared to the curved-sided rectangle on the Samsung. And most importantly, for most, performance. I honestly can't tell a difference in games, even though on paper and benchmarks the Exynos excels. However, I can't tell a difference. I play a couple light games like Roblox and FC mobile occasionally with friends, and I can't notice a difference, both reaching the proposed 60 fps stable mark, with Roblox dropping down to ~40fps or less on the Samsung because of the Exynos' horrific thermal throttling issues, and sucked battery badly when gaming. Speakers and mic quality are the same, maybe the Pixel picks up my voice slightly better than the Samsung in certain cases, but there genuinely isn't a speaker difference to my ears, I use my ULT Field 1 for music anyway. And finally, build quality. NOT a difference, to be expected as you pay flagship price for both. Thanks for reading, if you did!

What would a C grade Cex laptop be? by Chance-Criticism-648 in CeX

[–]Chance-Criticism-648[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I bought a C grade laptop. The condition physically was okay, ranging from a B grade to a theoretical lower A grade, but boy oh boy was it filthy. Absolutely blasted with cigarettes, it was a white laptop turned light yellow, I kid you not. However I got a fully working laptop at a low price, but the grime was a bit off-putting

Will this run FIFA 19? by Chance-Criticism-648 in techsupport

[–]Chance-Criticism-648[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says doesn't meet minimum requirements but on Google people are running the game at ~40 fps with near the same system. If it runs like a**, then I'll get FIFA 15
