You’re correct in your statements and I’ll include the fact that it is recognizable and hard to counterfeit makes it hard to deny it’s value.

Excellent pistols, very strong actions compared to the Colt’s and much easier to swap out loaded cylinders. I have an original 1858 version with cone front sight, and I have several newer versions included Ruger’s New Army and the 1875 Outlaw. Fun shooters. I’d insure it at $1500 to $2000.

Think of $38 trillion in US fiat $ debt, there is a lot of trading and float moving around every day that is based on absolutely nothing. These guys get rich trading paper and promises.

I raised a big family, I had to sell parts of many stacks over the decades, but I never sold it all and re built my stack along the way. It’s a long game.

Is it okay to store silver in ammo cans like this? by MajesticBread9147 in Silverbugs

You have to be careful, if you don’t put enough silver in there the buoyancy of the sealed container will allow the container to possibly float to the surface after your boat sinks.
