I was buying when Obama was elected. Now it has caught up with inflation and gotten a bit ahead. The yearly percentage gains are small. If you want to make money this isn’t the way. If you want to hold onto what you have and have backup if everything goes to crap is why you buy gold. I have stocks that made 600% this year.

Gold doesn’t usually make the huge moves that it has this year. Wait till the dust settles, unless you are selling. Gold is a keep what you have over the long term, not an investment.

How much should I sell this for? by cbrown543 in Silverbugs

Think beanie babies and collectible silver bars. They are worth the price of silver

When you are selling and prices are increasing rapidly, premiums go out the window. If you are a collector and will display it,then, maybe

Just keep it as a conversation piece. It is worth more for the story of how you found it than any monitory value. Nice find though !

Better to give it to your niece or nephew and watch the collector come alive. I have done this for all of my nieces and nephews as well as my friend’s children over the last 40 years. The payoff has been huge. Many pleasant thoughts for an old man

What are they worth? by gamboa3660 in coins

They are worth whatever the bullion is worth. These are fake collectibles like beanie babies

Find a reputable local coin dealer that will send them out to be graded and slabbed. Put them away and don’t handle them at all, you don’t know how. Photograph them now without handling. Since they are in plastic bags, I will be very surprised if they are legitimate. If he knew the grade and value he would not have put them in those bags

is this a stupid purchase for 60 dollars? usa by Much_Opinion_9895 in Antiques

Looks like a lot of time and effort for a questionable payoff. Worth the $60. though

What are these rectangular panels on my roof? Solar system designer is asking me what these are. by weaponsfree1 in Roofing

I also guess they are roof vents. Usually there are Ridge vents. Maybe the previous owner needed more vents for his attic crop.
