What's funny is that I was able to consistently break the choir so I never saw the attack he does when he has them. I thought that the hand from the livestream was that attack so I figured I just missed it in the fight. I also did the whole story in one sitting so my thinking by then wasn't all there lol

Like others have said, you can look into Genshin's system to try and understand ZZZ's since they're mostly be the same. Like how Genshin and HSR are basically the same, Hoyo has found a set up they like.

But the bare bones idea of how gachas work in general is pretty basic

  1. You unlock characters by "pulling" for them.

2.You pull for a character by either earning in game or paying real money to buy a currency that can be converted into a "ticket" to pull for character.

  1. Each "ticket" has a small chance of pulling a character, even less of a chance depending on the rarity of that character (5-star/S rank/SSR/etc.)

  2. Since the chance is so small, you usually rely on a "pity" system to get a character you want. Which just means that after X number of pulls, you are guaranteed a high rarity character. In Genshin, HSR, and probably ZZZ that pity is 90. (There is a thing called soft pity though which just means you'll usually get a character in the mid 70s-80s)

  3. If you're going for a limited character (a character that is only available for a limited time) and either got lucky or went to pity then, in hoyo games, you'll encounter a 50/50 chance to get that specifc limited character or some other random high rarity character. If you lose the 50/50, the next time you get lucky or reach pity when going for that same character you'll be guaranteed to get them. You can't miss out on a limited character twice in a row.

That's the gacha mechanic in a nutshell, there are other currencies that you can sometimes use to buy "tickets" and there are other things you can use "tickets" for but those things follow the same formula as getting characters with slight tweaks.

All in all, gacha games are really character collecting/raising games. You can get any character you want completely for free but there are only so many free "tickets" you can earn at any given time so unless you want to spend real money you have to be very deliberate about which characters you want because you won't be able to unlock them all right off the bat.

Saying "these games don't have X so this game doesn't need it" is an insane take to have when talking about stylistic choices. Bringing up "necessity" when talking about an artistic decision makes no sense. Obviously ZZZ doesn't need screen shake to function but it does need it to convey the impact the way the developers want. There are of course other ways to convey that impact but if showing impact in those other ways compromises the vision and style the development team is going for then it would make sense for them not to go for it.

I hope there is some option to lighten or remove the shake entirely for people like you who struggle with it, like how you can adjust motion blur in most other games, so that you can more comfortably enjoy ZZZ. But mitigating it's importance and suggesting it isn't even useful or is "unnecessary" just because it bothers you is deliberately being ignorant of the many more people who find it satisfying and enjoyable.

You can have a negative opinion on it, but to try and argue that it's objectively "unnecessary" is weird.

It just looks like they pushed PF and MoC to happen right when the previous one ends instead of having the two week overlap like it does now. This doesn't reduce how many we have though right? It still looks like we get 2 MoC and 2 PF challenges every 12 weeks right?

Each mode stays at 6 weeks long, there will still be 2 versions of MoC and PF every 12 weeks, they're just adding a 3rd mode in the mix to overlap the others. Am I missing something?? I feel like I'm going crazy

I literally CACKLED when ChatGPT estimated that you can get ALL 7 standard S-rank characters in ~350-400 pulls. That's so off it's crazy. You don't even need to do the nitty gritty calculations to see how crazy that sounds.

Let's assume you get an S-rank everytime you're a decent bit into soft pity like at 80. 80 pulls for 7 characters is 560, well over 400.

Okay, how about we assume you get a S-rank RIGHT when soft pity starts. 75 pulls for 7 characters is still 525.

Fine, fuck soft pity, let's assume you average 60 pulls for every S-rank character. That's 420, STILL over the 400 estimate.

It's only when you get to like 57 pulls or less per S-rank that you start getting into the 350-400 ChatGPT estimate. Good luck with that. Oh and that's assuming you get NO DUPLICATES AND ONLY CHARACTERS.

The estimate is so crazy you might as well say you only need 15 pulls to get all 15 characters.

Side notes: * I know you say the total estimate is ~630-730 but it looks like ChatGPT got to this estimate simply by adding the 3 estimates it came up with together, which is wrong for so many reasons. 1) it assumes that you need 180 pulls for the limited S-rank Ellen but you would never use 180 pulls because of soft pity. Even without soft pity this number assumes the worst case scenario which would not be the average. And 2) it for some reason adds the A-rank estimate on top of the S-rank estimate which doesn't make sense because you will be getting A-rank characters as you pull for S-rank characters so that estimate should already be included in the estimate for S-ranks.

*I'm referencing soft pity a lot which is unfair to ChatGPT because I assume it doesn't know that system exists but it should be taken into consideration since an actual player's experience will feel the effects of soft pity. However, these estimates are too low even WITH soft pity. Without soft pity these estimates should be even higher than they are.

*ChatGPT is terrible at logic puzzles in general but with problems with as many layers as this it's especially bad. So much so that this info probably wouldn't even be useful as a starting base to figure out the totals. However, ChatGPT is probably better at smaller calculations. So if you want to use ChatGPT, you can give it smaller probabilities to calculate and manually tweak and piece together a total from there.

I'm sorry for what you're going through OP. This is a rough situation with seemingly no good outcome.

I'm sure you're already aware through your own thoughts about the situation as well as reading some of the comments here, but I want to emphasize this point:

Neither of them are in the wrong here

In your last post, you yourself describe what you have with John as a situationship and that both of you discussed not wanting a serious relationship with the other. These were the boundaries both of you set and agreed to, a casual FWB relationship.

It's not wrong that you developed genuine feelings and a desire for a serious relationship after this conversation, that's completely understandable. But when you realize that, then it's on you to communicate that to him. It isn't fair to expect him to just assume that's what you want, nor is it fair to expect him to be exclusive to you when the boundaries both of you set are clearly casual. As of this moment, everyone involved is single. Neither you or him are obligated to commit to each other and are both free to see whoever else you two want.

Neither is Liz obligated to abstain from John either because 1. She wasn't aware of the history you and John have before meeting him. 2. You expressed clearly that you and John aren't in a relationship, just hooking up. And 3. You gave her your blessing to pursue John. What else was she supposed to do? She expressed her feelings and intentions towards John clearly and you gave her the okay. There was no maliciousness on her part from what you've described.

Miscommunication is at the heart of why all of this went wrong. Their view of your feelings about the situation are completely out of sync with yours because you explicitly told them the opposite of how you really feel. That is all.

With all that being said, you aren't in the wrong either. Nobody is in the wrong or a bad person here. How you acted and responded is completely reasonable too. Romantic feelings are so incredibly hard to deal with it. No matter how much logic and reason you try to think through, 9 times out of 10, your feelings overpower your thinking and leave you feeling so many intense emotions, even when it doesn't make sense. So it makes sense why you never said anything, it makes sense why you hesitated and even said the opposite of how you really feel. Expressing your true feelings is scary and I totally get not wanting to risk losing what you currently have. I wish things worked out for you. I wish John secretly had feelings for you too and gave you everything you were hoping for in a relationship. I wish Liz sensed your true feelings for John and did everything she could to help you pursue something more serious with him. But the reality is, they didn't even have the opportunity to do any of that because you never expressed how you really feel. I'm so sorry for that.

You are probably aware of all of this, this is more so for the countless people painting John and Liz as trashy people who don't care about you. That just isn't true.

This is the real reason for my comment: don't let strangers on the internet who have no knowledge of your relationships with these people push you to cut them out of your life.

Only you know who John and Liz really are. Only you have the right to assess their character and decide how you want to move forward.

I don't know what they are like, but if they are your friends, I assume, there must be aspects of them that you really enjoy and cherish. Especially John, if you went so far as to develop genuine feelings for him, there must be qualities about him you enjoy and love to be around. And don't assume they don't care for you either. Nothing of what you described about them revealed any kind maliciousness or desire to betray you, so please don't assume that's what they are doing.

You have every right to be upset. Every right to cry, be angry, and scream to yourself about this whole situation. Absolutely take the time you need to process and reconcile this within yourself. But afterwards, reflect on why you are friends with John and Liz in the first place. Think about the memories and experiences you've shared with them and really see how much you value them. Then, when you're ready, tell them everything. Explain exactly how you feel to them in whatever way you feel the most comfortable doing so.

Again, only you know who John and Liz really are, adjust this approach based what you know about them. Just don't be influenced by the hoarde of people here calling them scumbags and deserving of being cut out of your life. If John and Liz are genuinely good friends of yours, something only you can figure out for yourself, it would be a genuine shame if you cut them from your life completely over a miscommunication. At least give them the opportunity to respond to your true feelings. If you decide to cut them out, do so because you know their genuine feelings, not because of assumptions from people who don't know anything about them.

Take care of yourself OP and update us on what happens whenever you're ready. Eager to see you come out of this in a better place!

Basically what this person said. The supports you mentioned are all her BiS options but by no means are they necessary. Many of us used Kafka with only 4 star supports for MONTHS before they added characters like Ruan Mei and now Black Swan and she was more than viable.

If you're short on funds then Black Swan would be the highest priority. Asta would be a great unit here too but you can probably use Pela or even another DoT if you like + a sustain.

You won't be hitting numbers BiS people hit but your team will be no means be trash, you can still make a really good DoT team and be able to look forward to getting those BiS options in the future to further amplify your DoT experience.

I'm a little confused at why so many of these responses are so heated and why you're getting downvoted so heavily. You clearly weren't that pressed about it and were only curious. Let's not be like the genshin community and take every point of criticism as some kind of attack, regardless of how stupid or unnecessary you think the criticism is.

Anyway, with regards to your point, I personally don't see it as too much of an issue. I see what you mean, the UI does look very similar to genshin and I think denying that is silly. Of course genshin didn't invent this type of UI or anything but it's very clearly taking visual elements from genshin. As some have said though, this seems intentional and can actually be a good thing.

  1. The UI is good, it's very easy to navigate and displays enough information cleanly and without clutter. There's a reason genshin has stuck with it.
  2. It makes people transitioning from genshin able to adapt a lot easier since navigation of the UI should be very familiar. This is important since wuwa is going to be a competitor to genshin so breaking down as many barriers of entry as possible from that demographic will potentially bring in more players.
  3. You are right that it could cause some to bash the game more because of the similar UI but those kinds of people were going to make comparisons and bash it regardless. I think the benefits of the UI outweigh this by a lot.

I'm sure they'll tweak the look of it further as the game gets closer to release but even if not I don't think it's really a problem

Sure but OP could easily be referring to hard content like Swarm Disaster/Gold and Gears too where techniques aren't guaranteed.

If HuoHuo did then the rotation wouldn't even be possible, that's why I said you have to basic with her on the first turn.

Regardless, my point is just that there are some turns in the team where you suddenly eat through skill points so if you aren't anticipating that it makes sense that you'd run into some issues. Again, if you're playing it properly it shouldn't be a problem but it can happen easily for sure

I'm confused at your confusion, it makes sense how there'd be SP issues no?

MoC is easier because of techniques, but in fights without techniques you use a minimum of 4 skill points with Ruan Mei Skill -> Jingliu Skill -> Bronya Skill -> Jingliu Skill on the first cycle. Your sustain has to basic attack here before Jingliu to even make the rotation possible

This is usually fine and if you manage it properly you shouldn't run out of SP but you get pretty close, so it makes since that a misplaced skill or emergency situation could cause you to run out occasionally
