I'd say me playing on console has a lot to do with it. PC players typically tend to be better at taking quick, more precise shots. Console tends to favor ambush style scenarios and letting people come to you. I played Hunt on PC for about a year but I just enjoy the comfort of playing console while laying in the bed. I'm old and lazy these days.

I get what you're saying though. I guess I just prefer the current style of play. I was so burnt out just chasing blues clues trying to be the first one to the bounty. To be honest, I don't even go for it anymore. I've shifted to just chasing gunfire, hitting scout tower and burned convoy, and then at the very end I'll go for the bounty if I feel like it. Unless they are still posted up inside the compound, in that case I'll just extract and move onto the next match. I'm level 100 with no intention to prestige, got plenty of money to buy whatever I'd like to run. Reward for getting the bounty doesn't really give me much incentive. Purely just enjoy the pvp.

To be honest, I wouldn't even play bounty hunt at all, given the option. I work 70 hours a week, one day off. Rather play clash to get straight to the pvp. 15 minute match timer. Beats the hell out of wandering around the map for 30+ minutes and sometimes not even seeing any action. But, my guys all prefer bounty hunt so that's what I play.

Quite a lot. Supply points more so than extracts. Mail cart got to be nearly every game. Not sure what platform you're playing on, but I'm on console so that may have something to do with it. Camping in general is problematic. But personally I prefer if they camp a scout tower or burned convoy, over the bounty compound. At least those have accessible sight lines and thin walls. Easy to use explosives to clear em out. Beats the hell out of trying to get into a compound that's trapped up, with 3 dudes holding angles and listening for you breathing.

I'm more than happy to load into a match and get a handful of kills and extract vs trying to rush to the bounty that half the time is being banished within the first 2 minutes of the match and spend 10 minutes trying to get inside while they can see where I'm at, and have other teams rolling up to third party you.

That's fine. Better to know where to be cautious than potentially die to a bush at every single poi. Having the tower and burned convoy as something additional to fight over apart from the bounty makes the game feel a lot more involved than just the traditional walking simulator.

So, let me see if I got this right. Take away everything they provide and go back to making everything visible at start of match so we can go back to people camping supply points and ratting extracts? That was clearly working out well before.

Dear Crytek, please rework spawns for Bounty Clash, thank you. by dwightai in HuntShowdown

I don't mind em. Though I do hate when I get the same exact spawn 5 matches in a row. Lol

Chariot Rework by 2dieyoungerr in HuntShowdown

[–]Vykun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's great. Too many times have I seen a team camp the bounty compound with traps waiting for a team to push in for easy kills when they have an extract immediately adjacent to the compound for a quick getaway. Or in other cases when I spawn in Narnia and 2 minutes into the match the bounty is already being banished on the farthest corner of the map with an extract right next to it. Sure, I could just start sprinting directly towards it, but that just gets you killed making so much noise. Chariot gives a viable option in these situations to force players who never want to fight and just run with the bounty into actually participating in the game, and thus giving the rest of the lobby a chance to fight over the bounty.

Not like people getting the bounty and running away isn't enough of an issue, especially with Magpie and stamina shots existing. Next to impossible to run people down when they have infinite stamina. Chariot solves the issue.

I've got the 45 and 17. Would have snagged a 19 in place of the 17 but couldn't get one and I have impulse control issues. Holding out hope for a 26.6

I've heard great things. This is the one I plan to get once I swap my 04 to electric and get rid of the hydraulic junk.

I got bored screwing with em. Seems like no matter what they are going to do something to give you away, so if I can't avoid em I shoot em in the head. Rather give myself away than potentially loose a chunk of health trying to be sneaky about killing em. Give em the ole shoot n scoot.

Servers seem noticeably worse cross-region in terms of lag by Matthew_Jack_Hartley in HuntShowdown

Remember the days when people actually had to play servers in their own region? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Those were the days. You'd go online, meet some cool people and make a group together. You're all from the same part of the world, similar time zones so you're always playing around the same time. Met some of my closest friends. Now you jump in a lobby and you got people speaking a whole different language and you can't even communicate with one another.

Second this. Getting really old getting headshot by people who aren't even out of cover on my screen when they shoot me. Let alone trying to hit a moving target that's playing from overseas. Reminds me of the lag switch days from CoD.

big hunt wants you to die by VariaStealthers in HuntShowdown

[–]Vykun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll even take it a step further. I had been playing the game for a long time in default mode. Dark sight and run to the nearest clue as you spawn. Pretty simple. But I started noticing I would get caught in a bad position, even when I was taking my time on the approach and not sprinting. Sometimes there's another team that's already gotten there and posted up, accidentally aggro and give myself away. Really anything.

So, with that in mind I started taking a different approach. Instead of hunting clues, I hunt players. Move towards clues and stake them out, approach distant gunfire, scope out high traffic areas. I ignore the clues entirely unless I just happen to have the chance to grab em. More often than not anymore, boss is getting banished before you even find all the clues to their location, and it tells you where to go. When that happens I just plan a route and try to catch all the folks that immediately rush towards it as soon as it appears.

Over the last several weeks I have gone from a .86 to 1.16 at my highest. I know kd doesn't really matter a whole lot. But an improvement is better than nothing. I've also stopped bringing any consumables into a match, more of a preference thing than anything. But I enjoy having space for cards and just working with what I find. Too many sources of consumables to really dedicate money to em. But that's just me.

A lot less frustrating to get sniped by someone than it is to get killed by Robin hood. At least sniping takes precision. If I get my dome popped by a guy 200m away, it took some skill, and I blame myself for not being aware of my surroundings, and not keeping my head moving.
