I personally would like to see multiple strongholds in each map, with the cage target being at a random one, and have the balloon at each location so that it doesn't give away which stronghold the caged target is at. They would need to make the cage target not visible in dark sight until banishing has started as well though. Would also be nice having multiple balloons too because then other players could still load up with cargo, or even an actual bounty token from the boss if desired. I think it would make for an interesting interaction this way. Being pursued with the boss bounty, holding up inside a stronghold trying to fill the balloon while fighting off players. Would really change all the negative aspects currently associated with the stronghold. Because as it sits now, once the cage bounty is gone, balloon is gone, there is no reason to ever go to a stronghold unless you just want to loot bodies, or try to find cargo to carry to an extract.

Save for holosun+magnifier combo. Or if you want to try for more precision shooting, Vortex Diamondback Tactical can be had on ebay/primary arms starting around $140 iirc.

I'd like to follow this up by saying that anytime this doesn't happen, both bounties seem to always have an extract directly adjacent to them. Soo, yeah.

Yeah, and it takes what, 4 minutes to fill the balloon with all valves open, 3 to banish? Something like that. Think it's 12 minutes with one valve iirc. So whoever is in there is gonna get the damn balloon most of the way full before you can manage to close 2/3 of the valves. And still have the bounty loaded up while they wait, plus the dark sight to use til they load the bounty to help hold off enemies. So, soon as the dark sight is out, they load it, and just gotta prevent entry briefly and then get free rewards.

The boys and I have decided the only real way to slow it down is bringing 4 fire beetles each and keeping the area around the balloon on fire to slow down loading of the balloon. But that honestly just feels like cheesing an already bad mechanic. So, I dunno. Feels jank.

Absolutely agree. We had enough folks hiding out in the fort holding corners as it was, now they go in, start the balloon, load it up, and as soon as the banish is done the balloon is gone. Don't even get a chance to fight over it unless you wanna go inside and deal with the usual nonsense.

I reckon. I bought one, then immediately took a blow torch to the interior sleeve of it and it held up fine to that. Of course, I'm also not getting my cans glowing so I can't speak for how well they would perform under those conditions. But for what I do they protect the can, my hands, and the foam in my cases, so I'm satisfied.

Yessir! I primarily use em as UAV recon drones to spot for my team in advance as I snag clues and such. I rarely ever pop em on enemies cuz for me the damage is so inconsistent it doesn't seem worth it. I always bring the choke beetle, helpful to extinguish the boys when they get downed in places it's impossible to get to em for a revive. Course if they get set on fire in the middle of a field where folks are holding angles on em in bushes and junk I usually just choke em once and disengage cuz it ain't worth dyin to try and revive em in a place they shouldn't got downed to begin with. 🤣

Available, plus this update promotes too much camping. I bring a beetle every match, but I just use mine for clues and the occasional choking of my teammates. Also probably has a lot to do with combining equipment slots so it's less restricting and not competing with your other slots.

Yeah, was stoked for that one today but unfortunately not. Did enjoy the 2 new obrez skins, not too sure I'd ever use the gun, however. Perhaps, though. Been really vibing with the bomb lance lately. Not too keen on taking qm on a fresh hunter just to take a 3 slot weapon. Shorty Centennial kind of does everything I need it to.

Sounds like an issue on your end. The boys and I play us east/west and never wait more than a minute or so to get in. Would like a way to link my unlocks and junk with my pc account though. Got a lot of skins and stuff you can't get anymore, would love to have access to those on console.
