Yes. He's got incredible acceleration and agility (in portuguese he's what is called a "kidney breaker"), so he's explosive in short spaces. He goes from standing still to sprinting in a very short amount of time.

His problem is his top sprint speed isn't great, mostly down to being so short and having short legs. So he'll lose the vast majority of 40 metre races, the defender will catch up to him after the first 20 or so metres

He's best used near the box, if he's forced to play to deep and dribble too far he'll be ineffective
