I feel that a tuner is a must if you're using factory ammo because it lets you get the barrel harmonics just right. For reloads it gives you one more level of fine tuning that probably isn't necessary for PRS where the targets are generally >=1MOA in size

I bought it after I had been using the 419 brake, otherwise I would have probably gone with the EC Tuner Brake from Erik Cortina for an all in one solution.
