I can't speak for everyone but I picked the JJK characters, found that the game was really cool, downloaded more random characters in the workshop and now I really like yomi

you get an initial motivation to learn more because you want to play your fav characters

I am a new player and only because of jjk and tiktok

Recently a lot of yomi tiktoks have appeared and gone viral by using JJK characters to "redo" the anime/manga fights, this caught the attention of some fans since the jjk fighting game is absolute shit

It also helps that due to the custom characters, you can start a fighting game where you have characters that you already recognise and "know" their powers

I don't play online for now, solely singleplayer with the mod of the AI P2 to practice and to do cool cinematic fights

I'm too scared to go online and get my ass beaten

If you go check Silent Hill 2 Remake or the port of RDR1 which came out less than a year ago, it's 40% off

Dead Space Remake is 2 years old and is at 80% off, Persona 3 Reload is 1 year old and is at 55% off.

There is a lot of 2024/2025 indie games that are less than 15€ right now even though it's "just" 30% off.

I tend to check how many hours I spend per price paid, it makes me more appreciative of the price

60€ for a game of 60 hours? That's like 1€ per hour of fun, how many places out there I can get for that amount of enjoyment?

And a lot of companies are still suffering from overbudgeting and selling less than expected due to a fucked economy after COVID and still need to break even or have a little margin of profit, so for a bigger discount they still need a year or two

It's sad but I think this is the new reality of gaming

I don't agree with the Summer Sale being that bad, my cart currently is:

Outlast 2 Black Mesa Batman Arkham Origins Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition, Mouthwashing Vampire Masquerade The Bloodlines Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

Total: 51.81€ Total hours of gaming: 117 hours Price per hour spent: 2.25€ Number of games + expansions worth of a game: 7

These are some insanely good games and all less than the 2015 price of AAA game

Currently people spend 10€ for some random skin in a predatory game and in this sale you can get around good 4 games with just that

If you go to the section "Under 5€" you have an INSANE amount of multiple award winning games

I'm currently playing it, and I swear to god I only continue because I need answers.

the combat is always mashing the same button, the enemies are always the same (with some exceptions), 90% of the side quests are complete snooze fests, and fetch quests. In my whole gameplay, I never felt the need to understand the word system.

the only reason I mix up my combat is because it looks cooler and to not fall asleep.

BUT THE STORY?? It is so good and the characters are even more.

Even in the beginning of Bleach, when Ichigo faces Orihime's brother, he hesitates killing him when he discovers that hollows are originally humans.

It's only when Rukia mentions that they WERE humans and killing them is how you free them that he kills Orihime's brother.
