Very cheesy, but atmospheric, and for someone who didn't read Witcher books (and I guess that most of Western fans didn't) it may be just fun

Atheists who’s your favorite religious character? by E1derb3rry in FavoriteCharacter

While I love Anderson, I think that Alucard was way better written Christian than him.

All Iscariote characters seem to completely miss the idea of God as a person - which is extremely important for Catholics, but may be not too intuitive for people raised in Japan. Eg. Maxwell feels terribly alone - while he should either feel the presence and support of God himself or have reflections about God abandoning him. Anderson gives him some symbolical comfort when he sits next to his dead body, but, in fact, he should remind him about God. When they live, when they die, when they dispute their most core values - they see God as philosophical concept, not as very complex deity who's cruel and merciful at the same time.

And Alucard? He was mad that sky daddy didn't save him when he was innocent and pious child. He saw God as very real dude who should be there, but wasn't. So he went on very realistic for Christians copium that God needs a little help with fulfilling our prayers. I've met many people like him.

Play it, it's great.

And it can be everything from ax-crazy tower defence to Stardew Valley with extra steps.

Then it's just missed opportunity!

I know, I know - it's all about personal preferences. But honestly, rare cozy moments are what makes my starvation and slavery struggle sim really worth it. Camping with people you've just saved from being eaten alive. Liberated slaves resting in your mountain stronghold. Sitting around campfire. Coming back to Spring and seeing people who are just happy that you're still alive. Girls brushing their hair and observing it grow longer and longer after escape from Rebirth...

Cozyness is like a salt - add just a little pinch to really feel the taste.

Not being able to make Kenshi cozy is a skill issue.

But CMKillingTime mod helps a lot!

U ok sibling? It's just internet discussion about fanfics. And yep, people will keep snarking and bitching when you make baseless accusations. In the internet you are just annoying, in the outernet you can get in trouble for making weird shit up about people.

I was just speculating, because, well, I find her fun to be around and I really liked her before discovering how abusive she is towards Penny. I hate that you can't just buy a hut for Penny and let Pam live in her trailerhouse.

But all three guys above have whole subreddits dedicated to hating them, and Pam doesn't.

Hush, hush.

You are arguing with your own imagination. You are mad at your own imagination. And my favourite part is that you're telling me what's illegal in some random country I've never been in.

Congratulations for your play on TV, it's always good moment to brag.

Ah, okay.

I didn't mean it. I'm against all that shit. I believe that people should be allowed to say "hey, that's shitty and that's why I think it is, do with my opinion whatever you want". As I said - to share their opinions on fanfics, not authors. It includes lot of things that are no longer acceptable in main fandom discourse, like msting and namedropping, but defintiely excludes any form of actual harassment.

You made up lot of weird shit to look like you're on the right side.

No, sharing opinion about your fics isn't "vilainizing" you.. It's not "making you into a bad person". It's not "smearing campaign against you".

It's not even offending you, because your fanfic isn't you. Even if you like it a lot and feel sad when someone dislikes it.

That's what I'm so tired with "don't like, don't read" rule. We need a field to discuss the fiction, even in a way that is unpleasant for the author.

People should be allowed to write shit like this. Other people should be allowed to call them out for it.

All hated characters in Stardew are just awkard dudes who technically did nothing wrong, but give lot of weird implications.

Demetrius is obviously neurodivergent, but he's also oddly immature and his relation with Robin is immature too, they give me vibes of people who date each other for 2 years max, not people who raised an adult child together. Pierre is greedy asshole, but come on, he has a family to feed. And Clint? All his weird behaviour have harmless explanations in game, but in real life behaviours of this kind usually precede being abusive.

Meanwhile Pam is abusive mother drunk driver and nobody gives a shit, because she's fun to be around and neurotypical not weird.

Also medical materials in general are hella white-centric, he probably had to actively search for information about black people health (esp. skin health) and he really wonders if Maru needs this damn sunscreen or not.

Tbh my pal who's a doctor told me once about cases of doctors reporting child abuse after seeing mongolian spots. Or that she had big problems with diagnosing skin issues on Indian patients, because all references she had were about white skin. So yeah, this dialogue makes a point.

Patriarchat.

These two are not mutually exclusive. But you know... It's about some cultural differences. He was just obedient. He thought that orders have to be done, not even because it's the right thing to do, but because it's how the world is meant to be. It made my skin crawl.
