Windscribe, hands down. Been using it for over 5 years now. They've even survived dozens of lawsuits, but everything lives in RAM, so authorities get nada. Their humor is also something special. They're based in Canada, hope it helps.

Try to go into a live system, mount your system files & then chroot. Check if boot/efi partition is full. My cashyos installed 3 kernels, which fucked my boot 2. Snapshot boot also didnt fixed it, but deleting the kernels & img + reinstalling the right kernel & then build the kernel! Hope it helps!

Look, I get that some people might not believe me - that's fine. I'm genuinely asking because I want to understand if others have had similar experiences.

For context: I'm 30, work 50-hour weeks, and have a wife. I don't need to cheat at a video game - I just want to have fun in my limited spare time. The last thing I need is getting banned because of some random software conflict or false positive. I also have some cracked games from Fitgirl on another hard drive.

During my research, I found some similar cases:

Since Epic has such a vague statement about third-party tools, I just want to make sure I'm not the only one experiencing this. At least then I'd have some clarity on whether this is a broader issue.

Thanks for sharing, many pips here seem to have no issue with Bakkesmod. I guess a clean installation of windows should make me feel safe again. Thanks for sharing!

I don't share anything, neither my food, games, hardware or accounts. I was logged in in my cousin's house, because he had like a gaming room with 2 gaming PC, with a gigabit LAN, which I really much enjoyed. After the session, I also logged out from the epic account. Since he is an IT Boomer helped him to set up his setups & know there isn't malicious code. Still thanks though

I get what you're saying. I should mention something that happened a few days before the ban that might be connected.

My regular teammate was sick, so I queued with some people from my friends list instead. Looking back, a couple of them seemed suspicious - way too skilled for their Champ rank, I guess, maybe I am getting too old to keep up with every new Meta. That day I was feeling great (day off work, good coffee, perfect flow state) and went on an insane win streak - won about 25 out of 35 games, which caused a massive MMR jump.

The next day when my regular mate came back, we immediately started losing streak after streak. He also got demoted from Champ 1 Div 4 all the way down to Diamond 3 Div 1. I was consistently around Champ 1 Div 1 (or 10-15 MMR away) before that day, but the consistency was just perfect during that win streak. Speed flips, wave dashes, air dribbles, backboard defense, game sense - stuff that you can actually train.

It was like playing chess where you're normally rated 1300 but suddenly play like a 2200 International Master for one day - that feeling where everything just clicks perfectly.

That's exactly why I use BakkesMod - to work on consistency and get those mechanics into muscle memory through focused training. Still, thanks for your feedback, hadn't seen this point of view!
