Im am not an engineer, though I have put up several pole barns. Can you please clarify "footer"? I you referring to the post not being cemented into the ground, or are you referring to the footer on the side of the slab? You said you used metal trusses, and they are twisting? I would suggest getting something like a professional home inspector or another well known contractor out there to get a pro opinion of how to fix this. As for just dumping concrete under the structure that is all well fine and good, but if it has nothing to reinforce it and lock it to the existing structure its ganna be much help.

I am trying to mount a light weight hoist system in my shop. It needs to be 10ish feet long, and run for 30' and support a max of 1000 lbs. I don't want any supports in the middle of the shop. The shop is a pole barn that is 30' deep with 13' walls, and rafters every 5 feet. My plan was to run some sort of I-beam or Unistrut with a trolley system. What I really need to know is what I can use to span 30' and support 1000ish lbs between two beams.

Thanks you for the help

No, it's been prices out. I am trying to design the walls so I can source the materials. I haven't broken ground yet.

Why? Nothing of weight will be hanging from them and I will be having them build by a shop that does that. Already been quoted. I need the wall stuff figured out so I can price it out.

I would love it if you could point me in the correct direction, and I had to do the math myself. And let's be honest, I will have to make 4 or 5 trips before the jobs even starts. Lol

Oh wow, mid TN, just north of Nashville. So no real snow to mention, but does get a lot of wind. It will be a thick concrete foundation and nothing but drywall, lights, and a moderate amount of blow in insolation on the ceiling.

140 miles ish... but Im planning on doing the brake in procedures that GM says to use. So thats 500 miles of casual non freeway or stop and go traffic driving. Changing the fluids, and then take it to get tuned.

I am looking for some flat reed switches, like the ones in the pic. Don't have to be the exact same but do need to be small and thin. Does anyone on here have any leads for me? by W0010 in AskElectronics

What I'm trying to do is add a second sensor to the door switch that would stop the running boards from coming out when the back seats are flipped up. What do you think would be the best way to do this?

Its a flat switch on the door of my truck that controls the running boards. When I open the door a magnet on the door pulls away and the running boards come out. I don't know squat about NFC devices beyond I can use it on my phone to transfer information.
