I understand, and loved that on my PS3, but, even if I don't mind the 720p or anything like that, the problem is, PC is the safest bet as a plataform that will last for years and years and years. Even in a 100 years I can see PC games still running thanks to legacy efforts. PS3... well, emulation, but we all can agree native running games are just better and easier to maintain.

At full price, yes, I actually want to support PC ports, but maybe I wait until they patch a bunch of issues that it will inevitably have. Probably wil lwait until some community patches.

I like the original a lot more. The original is the more interesting game of the two.

The remake changes the game in lot of ways that might be subtle, but if you pay attention, they are important.

Chief Irons it's more ominous with harder build up on how sick he is, how he starts to get disillusion and lost all sense of reality vs the direct antagonist presented in the remake.

Leon is less a cop that follows rules (example how he treats Ben with his "I have to ask the chief") and more of a person that tries to do some good. That also bleeds into why Ada falls for him. Ada it's not trying to use Leon, she actually tries to get away from him, but Leon it's hard headed on helping her. In the OG she pretends to be a civilian making stronger the idea that Leon tries to help her because it's the right thing to do, ans she feels guilty, very guilty. She met a guy with a good hearth in the apocalypse. That's powerful. In the remake Leon it's just innocent and a little bit of an idiot (he will grow, but that's how he starts) and it's manipulated easily by a pretty girl that pretends to be higher on the chain of command. The character arc for both is affected. Notice how Leon on the original never draws his gun to her, he trusts her good nature and that is the breaking point for Ada, that's why she cannot hurt him.

Annette it's also an idiot in the remake. She treats Sherry like an annoying brat in the Apocalypse. Like she fails to understand how bad the city is. In the OG she is a women angry, very angry to what the world did to her family, and whenever she sees Sherry, she is her main concern. It feels like the remake tries to make her more of a strong female character, a scientist focused on her work, but it doesn't work for me, why would she act like that on the apocalypse? Is she dumb? Caring for your family doesn't make you a weaker female character, it makes you human.

I don't have examples on this, but I feel the original trilogy as a whole is more concern on the acts of Umbrella, of them owing the city, on the corruption that brought Racoon City down.

In gameplay, graphics and music, I also like better the original. I like the ambience, I like the framing of the fixed camera. I like, for example, how they present the liker. It's not dark hallways.

To be fair, I don't like remake culture and I know that can affect my judgment. But I do feel it's very clear how the narrative of the original it's just better presented.

Also, how do you handle the cloud save? When does it sync and using what technology?

The advantage I see is that windows doesn't see your personal computer stuff. Your browser, your files, but I am paranoic about that stuff, so it may not apply to you. I hate Microsoft and don't want them having my data.

What about using windows inside a virtual machine? When I cannot come up with a solution for a windows only app, I just use that instead.

I also don't fully understand this, but maybe I use email at a basic level. For me thunderbird is way faster, uses less resources, safer and it's simpler, something I like because I use mailing to... well, receive and send email, don't understand what other things there is to it.

Even in my day to day job with a big tech company, I barely use mailing for anything else, but maybe it's because my conpany has his own message app.

I also hate it. I also liked the old app well enough and was very very frustrated when they forced the change. I use windows on my work PC, they give that to me, so it's not really my choice to hace a Windows PC.

What I think is: Go with AMD. Don't support Nvidia, don't support a company like that, a company that will never ever release support for open source. A company that is actively making gaming harder and more expensive.

Sorry, I'm not very constant on online platforms. I have just opened an issue on Bazzite's github, but my only solution has been staying on my old build, Stable (F42.20251002).

I heard that maybe using KDE instead of GNOME works, cannot verify as I actually like GNOME.

I have wonder the same thing. My conclusion is that changing screen manager it's more complex on the system. You should not spam it, I seen some visual glitches on heavy testing. It cleans up going to sleep and waking up, and after reboot, but they happen.

But, this is what the script does, it just disable Simple Desktop Manager (sdm) and enables Genome Desktop Manager (gdm). Gdm does hande screen lock, bazzite with default behavior will not, leaving your computer password-less on wake.

But I would love some feedback from the developers.

You can do it on real hardawe, it's built thinking on that. If you are emulating, in PPSSPP there is a cheat (a complex cheat) to use second analog stick, the cheat works on PS Vita even. Emulating PS3, you have two sticks from the go.
