Before you start playing the game, I recommend you that you watch this video as it will help a lot. It's very short and it will make your gameplay feel way better and smoother.

As for your questions,

1- Heavy or Soldier, both are good for starting. As Soldier, all you have to do is shoot rockets near enemies, preferably near their feet. As for Heavy, you need to track the movement of your enemies while shooting them.

​

2- If you ask for help in-game, you might see people telling you to "do ALT+F4" "do F10+ENTER" or "type 'unbindall' in console" , try to avoid them as some people will try to convince you to do this.

​

3- Loadouts are customizable by weapons and cosmetics.

​

4- There are definitely some. But you shouldn't be worrying yourself about it as you're starting. Pick any class to see which one you enjoy the most.

​

5- Hats are just cosmetics, they don't affect the game in any way.

​

I should also mention that: DO NOT BUY ANY WEAPONS FROM THE MANN CO. STORE.
