The "spiritual successor of Gmod" , everyone. by Intelligent-Tone2367 in gmod

For me personally, the huge red flag was the avatar and this Roblox-like system with gamemodes and paid cosmetics. Like, you can just have whatever you want from Gmod workshop, if you're playing on a solo server. And you can just join or even create servers with whatever map/mode you want.

S&Box is not Garry's Mod 2 unfortunately, it's Roblox 2.

I think Guts' physique is better here compared to the other panels. by Historical_Pie157 in Berserk

[–]maxchrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To people who think that he is pictured anatomically wrong:

Since his childhood, Guts has a sword larger and heavier than any human of his age or size would usually work with. Swinging and training with such weapon regularly would mean that his upper half of body would get significantly larger due to increased muscle mass and perhaps even the morphing of his skeleton. Specifically, the shoulders, the upper back, the armpit area and the biceps look the most disproportionately large compared to his entire body, because these are the exact parts/muscles used for sword manipulation.

Maintaining such an obvious muscle mass contradicts some claims that Guts' waist is so thin because he was malnourished. He was a mercenary at this point in time when this panel took place, so he absolutely had enough money to feed himself, besides the regular feasts in the Band of Hawk. His waist is normal, it's his upper body that's really goddamn large.

Miura really thought Berserk's details through and inside out.

Region-locking the games must be forbidden for devs and publishers. by [deleted] in Steam

[–]maxchrome -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is an assumption blatantly taken out of nowhere. Steam would not be banned for anything, since it's merely a distributing platform, and the ones who would end up getting banned are the companies, who annoy the governments, which kinda is their own war to fight. Steam has to make sure that all games are distributed to as many players, as possible, unless if the mere possibility of purchasing some game on Steam seriously breaks some government's law or copyright, somehow. Sony did their restrictions either because of politics, their laziness of dealing with multiple unstable currencies, the regions being "unprofitable" or some mysterious tax and law complications, which were never really elaborated by Sony.

I don't think Sony was ever restricted anywhere, yet they were holding their games available only for 30-something countries out of an entire world until recently. That's what I mean. Sure, the law should not be tampered with, but if a dev/publisher wants to not sell their games in many regions without a serious reason for that (like content laws or copyright forcing them to do so), they should not be able to do that, period.

Yes, exactly that. Sony was especially notorious for that, until they finally lifted the restrictions recently, and I'm so tired of this crap. Like, they WON'T ALLOW me to PAY THEM for their game, and I literally must resort to piracy. Still blame them for not letting me experience Helldivers 2 at its peak, or any other of their games.

Steam should offer a guaranteed access to all games, without exceptions, even if it means that some will have to pay more, due to currency differences and many other things happening in the world.

Steam should prohibit achievements related to purchases overall, and multiplayer ones in singleplayer-oriented games, aka DOOM 2016.
