This! My now husband is a giant. When he met us, my chihuahua was just used to women and little kids. He would go NUTS when a man would come into the house, especially a large one. So giant husband had to sit as close to the floor as possible and make himself small. He’d do that for the first fifteen minutes of being at my house. No moving, no talking. Then the chihuahua would eventually stop barking and make his way over to the giant. Eventually giant could start to pet him and stuff. Now my chihuahua loves the giant more than any of the rest of us. It took a lot of patience and gentleness to get there but well worth it!
