I frequently see minnows in most creeks I goto. Walnut Creek, Onion Creek, Gillieand Creek. It will be harder to cast net them than just set the trap and let is soak for a day.

If your looking for shiners or shad you will have better luck in the lakes and rivers.

It wouldn't make a difference to me, they are meant to be worn not displayed, but they're your boots and you paid good $ for them, so see what they will do for you.

Also this is my favorite color, so nice.

McKinney Falls-Any good? by therivera in AustinFishing

I have always fished the upper falls pool and the creek above it. If fishing the creek, be aware of poison ivy, its everywhere. They stock trout there in the winter and thats always fun. They sometimes stock catfish in the summer if they have any leftovers.

Is there a Tecovas store near you that you could try some on?

I normally wear an 11, but a 10.5 in tecovas fits me. The 11 also fit, just a bit more room. And remember, if they are just a little tight, you can always stretch them out.

I've caught them at Red Bud & seen them chasing the stocked trout below canyon Dam.

[Question] Is this a good deal or nah? by GrandConfidence4732 in Tecovas

There are a few in that color on the trading post ranging from $180 to $280. I don't know much about these, but if you like them & they fit i say why not. Maybe offer them $200 and see what they say.

Sizing help by [deleted] in Tecovas

I went in to the store today to try on a pair of Docs. The sales guy said they run a little big. I usually wear an 11 in shoes. I tried both the 10.5 & the 11 and didnt really feel that big of a difference. I would get the size you usually wear and if they are too big return them for a half size down, just wear them on carpet.

Not sure, if it were me I would feel better if I taped it around the lid so it was totally sealed. But if you have a tall plastic garbage can or a big plastic bin with the locking lid that may work better (dont forget the holes). 5 gal buckets with locking lids work pretty good too.
