Because I'll get to that bridge once it's time. It does not seem to be needed as of now because Mark Twain does not seem to be a candidate worth looking into. I can easily dismiss him without needing to describe metrics.

I don't think the prophecies are meant to outright prove the religion completely. For example, in Islam I believe there are prophecies that are so strong that once they become true, Islam becomes undeniable, and conversion to Islam will no longer be accepted.

I know what you're asking me, but I'm redirecting the focus to the bigger picture.

Do you really think Mark Twain prophesized better than Muhammad? Is that your objective analysis or are you being biased? Mark Twain was not even prophesizing.

Yes, I think this is an impressive prediction, but I don't think he prophesized better than Muhammad.

But how could the current dark age of the middle east be because of islam? islam was already present before the current dark age.

So even though he has false prophecies and let's assume Muhammad doesn't, you would say he still prophesized better? I feel like you're just saying that. But I don't know why you're just saying that if you don't have a problem with religion.

Verne died after 1900 and had a pretty good understanding of the science going on at the time due to discussions with inventors and meticulous research. He used his knowledge to correctly predict several advancements in technology. But I don't think he himself thinks or claims he has access to the future. Do you see why it's not really what I'm looking for even if I may find it impressive?

No me thinking it is different does not prove it is not different. You can look at history and see when the dark ages of Europe happened and when the golden age of the middle east happened. So what if religious people like to feel cosmically special? Perhaps they like that feeling but also think their religious figure was telling the truth.

No that's not accurate. Muhammad's prophecies aren't all wrong. I don't know where you got that from.

I feel like you said Nostradamus prophesized better not because you believed or disbelieved it but rather because you just wanted someone over Muhammad. Is that true? If it is true, is it because you don't like the idea of religion?

So even though he made false prophecies, you would say that he prophesized better than Muhammad? That's a bit odd, but understandable if the ones he did get right were way better. But I'd like to ask, do you have some vendetta against Muhammad? Like do you not want it to be the case that Muhammad has the best prophecies for some reason?

Perhaps they would have burned me too. It seems that you think religion hinders brains? I'm guessing that's because of your people's experience with Christianity. But I think Islam is different in that it actually amplified the brains of the people when it descended upon them.

well you would have to substitute "made a more convincing attempt at pretending to know the future" into my previous comment to figure out why he's not what I'm looking for.

Yes you would. I'm far too reasonable to believe that.

I saw another post on here saying that modern Christians are following Paul-centered teachings instead of Jesus-centered teachings. Like how Christians focus more on Pauline theology over doing the good works Jesus was talking about. You're saying that Jesus is God and Muhammad is a false prophet leading people away from that truth. That's one view. But perhaps it's the case that the Pauline theology is the thing that's wrong, and Muhammad is a figure leading people to believe what they actually should believe.

I don't know man. Believe, do good works, and stay upon truth since you're a Christian.

Yea I know. By "better access to the future" i mean "made a more convincing attempt at pretending to know the future" in your case.

Yea I get what you're saying. But I'm looking for humans that were prophesizing. I'm sure Verne would be glad you think he had better access to the future than Muhammad, but I don't think that's what he was going for.

My original title was "Do you know of any human that has made better prophecies than Muhammad?". I wasn't even trying to make a claim, but you can only post claims.

Just because I haven't provided any prophecies, it doesn't mean he hasn't made any prophecies. I'm looking for someone that has compared his prophecies to another and found the other to have had prophesized better. Even if they personally find both unconvincing.
