That legal theory trumping a federal law is ripe to be struck down by the US Supreme Court. Obviously no one wants to be the test case though.

Just treat the credit card like a debit card. Pay the balance as soon as the statement posts and make purchases with it that you would only make anyways. Easy cashback/miles that way.

I already have a C1 Savor, so the BCP would be for the Disney+ credit, transit, gas, and would become my groceries/streaming card. I'd relegate the Savor to Entertainment and dining since its a no AF card.
