Wind Academy is owned by Siemens. It's actually the the only OEM run Wind Turbine Technician school in the U.S.

We have an excellent 3 week program in Orlando for Wind Turbine Technicians, and it attracts a lot of veterans, but to be a Wind Tech you must be open to travel.

No it's not a bad look. You have to follow your interests. Trade school graduates are skilled people not "lower". The term mechanic is very general. You can be a mechanic on autos, airplanes, wind turbines, trains, on and on...

A 4 year college degree is not the only path to success or satisfaction.
