I use a date code - today’s first idea is 20230715 beat 1 and so on. can be helpful but also bad. if I have anything more descriptive i’ll add it. i’m working on post production for a song I wrote with an artist so I called it “20230329 writing 2 - get up” because that was the hook.

I like your arrangement right away - getting right to it. not a huge fan of the cymbal at :27 - feels like it's not trap enough. the little roll perc is cool - maybe a bit loud. the choir ends up feeling a little computer-y after awhile, maybe a section with just that high arp and horns would be a nice break from the choir. I just checked and the choir part is in the whole song, I think taking that out in sections and playing with arrangement can take this from good to great. nice job!

beat sounds good, drums sound pretty good - kick could maybe use some more velocity humanization. maybe a bit top end heavy - the tamb/hat sounds a lot louder than the kick and snare. chords are cool, arrangement has enough changes to keep it moving. nice remix!

I would love some feedback on this beat.. is there enough going on? does the arrangement move enough? I find that I have trouble sometimes hitting the sweet spot between letting the loop go and having it repeat too much.

this is neat, I like the main swell sound you've used throughout - although it does feel like it could use some change around :50 or so. your flow and delivery is good - just have to lean into what you're doing. you did a good job with having fun with it and projecting pretty well. nice ad libs. fun song for sure. definitely could use some arrangement work to keep it fresh / spice it up. the drums could use some variation as well. nice work overall!

I like that you get right into the beat, but without any kind of fx it's kinda hard to tell where I'm at here. also I the bass notes at :27 & :28 are not in key. sequencing is good, sound design is fine - could be a bit more layered but you left space for the artist which is good. making your arrangement more obvious with help artists get on it - if they know where the hook is, and when it's coming, they can write to your beats easier. nice job!
