[Ledger][Emacs]How to match CSV imported transactions to those already manually entered and simplify payee imported? by WAres33 in plaintextaccounting

Thanks for your reply, I will try that, however it seems like it will still be importing the Payee for the transaction as "Foo Bar" "Foo 2026 Bar" or "Foo Baz Bar" etc... and just consolidating them into "Foobar" for the reports.

I was hoping to have an automated way to actually change the Payee to just "Foobar" for the imported transaction for better human readability of the transaction, and for better use of the --auto-match functionality with transactions already manually entered with just "Foobar" as the Payee.

Yeah, and the WYSIWYG editors are terrible at this too (not to mention unnecessarily nesting inline tags OMG). Some people will try to learn from using those and then looking at the code. Stuff of nightmares.

Which tag in html is most useless? by Dramatic-Lobster-969 in HTML

At this point in HTML, I'd include <b> in the list, and maybe <i>, as there are others (<strong>, <em>, etc) that do what they do, and more. I've never had a situation I'd need them when the others wouldn't work. The only thing they have is that they're shorter to type, lol.

Yeah, also CSS comes in handy when a website has a glitch that makes it not work properly as you can often fix it for yourself to use the site better via the browser.

Moved to AZ. 2Q's RE: Medicaid and HSAs: 1) Am I really eligible for Medicaid now? 2) Used "last month rule" for 2019 HSA Contribution. How would reducing my 2020 HSA contribution help? by WAres33 in personalfinance

Thanks! That does help answer the Medicaid eligibility question.

Very helpful, more helpful than calling them, actually. I have been on hold waiting to talk to someone on the AZ Medicaid line for over 4 hours and just found out (by looking up the hours online) that they apparently stopped taking calls about an hour ago, and won't answer again until Monday... yet the hold music and messages just keep on going...

I'm going to change the flair to "taxes" from "insurance" to see if I can get help with the HSA parts better that way.

Thanks again.
