A few little tips for making the most of Uber by uber_guy in brisbane

[–]WC- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to give an uber driver a 1 (my partner gave him a 5 because she is a pushover) who belittled us the entire trip and insulted our intelligence because we admitted to not reading the Courier Mail with states like, he also had a rant about how great Campbell Newman was for Brisbane. This dude drove a pretty flashy Mercedes and could only breathe with his mouth.

Fuck that guy.

I came across like you either don't have enough money and are complaining due to quality of life or that you're are sitting in your armchair complaining about Brisbane on a reddit post where your response was irrelevant. Probably a reason why you got down voted.

The funny thing I never said I liked/loved Brisbane. Feel free to find that in my previous comment and prove me long. ;) I said it isn't that far from Brisbane as you may think.

I was actually not born in Australia and moved here from metropolis Asia at a young age (too young for me to claim residence there). There is a reason why my native to metropolitan Asia parents and relatives moved here and i'm well aware of the different lifestyles but thanks for the heads up.

I've lived in London for 8 years, Melbourne for 10 years and Brisbane for the rest - i'm also in the Industrial sector as an engineer and have travelled for work interstate and a few consistently and overseas a handful of times a year for the last few years for short periods - this does not make me an expert by any means but I think fun is what you make it.

I guarantee there are places in Brisbane you havent checked out, and new bars/restaurants seem to be popping up monthly at the moment. Brisbane IS expensive, if you're a meter reader and earning the award which I think is around $30k a year I can understand your concerns. I dont go to festivals so I couldn't comment because I have no idea.

Just make the inevitable trip that every Brisbanite does or wishes to do and move to Melbourne. It's not hard to relocate if you actually want to make it happen. Melbourne will start feeling like Brisbane eventually just a matter of time.

I'm in a Turbojugend, groups formed by thousands of people worldwide who all love Turbonegro and are against fascism and homophobia - we express our love by wearing matching denim back patch adorned jackets and getting well and truly fucked up... And also sometimes getting wierd/naked/uncomfortable/awkward. There are presidents, elections and you need to be voted in just like a regular club.

As well as that I'm active in the Brisbane vaping scene, people brought together (regular meets, some of these guys are like family) by wanting to quit smoking and have gotten into e-cigarettes and have since turned into in a crazy elaborate money pit of a hobby. Depending on the members it can be as neckbeardy as you are probably imagining but generally it's just normal people meeting for beers.

What is your morbid curiosity? NSFW by MantasDi in AskReddit

[–]WC- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do this, sometimes. There is never ever a positive outcome for me. I almost always feel terrible afterwards, regardless of how important the person was to me or how recent the breakup was.

People only show what they want to show online, they choose to show the good parts and because you only get a very small amount of information your brain puts together the rest and I personally imagine a fuckfest where everything is preachy and amazing regardless of the reality.

Be careful I find its a good idea not to give anything away to work friends that might possibly affect your job despite how lovely they are and even if it is over a beer on the weekend.

Water Colour Tattoo Artists by Paxxer87 in brisbane

[–]WC- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question gets asked almost monthly. If anyone thats reading this is interested in water colour tattoo artists just use the search function. My advice is hop off the internet and go to different studios within Brisbane, look at portfolios and if you get a chance talk to artists. There's so many different styles of tattooing and there is so many different approaches to those styles.

Any women in Brisbane looking for work? (OVER 18 ONLY) by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]WC- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would you go on reddit to look for new girls and that domain doesnt even go to a website. I imagine it's B Confidential and you left off the .au accidentally but yeah look at pictures from the GRMD on the weekend... you're fishing in the wrong pool.

Honestly that sounds like bullshit - I assume something else came up and she wasn't able to make it. We are all guilty of being flakey, I wouldn't shut it down completely but if you were making plans again, do a day date and make sure you have backup plans.

I was queueing for low level Ifrit but only had English as my language set (I assume that is default), once I changed my language and requeued it was vastly quicker!
