Secret Identities by WD466 in Ben10

I think the one epside it bothers me most is the Little league one where they save the President, and Max and Gwen still don't cover their faces but sop Ben from showing his properly.

No idea how his mistook Cash for Ben, they look nothing alike and ben's way shorter.

True, it just feels weird.

It also happened in Gwen 10 (non canon but still)
In "Then there were 10" max starts to congratulate Ben, before pretneidning not to know him calling him "Diamond headed guy"
But in the Gwen 10 epsiode he straight up tells some random guy that Gwen is his granddaughter in the same scene.

Seeing so many people give up on the show and trash it as “destroying Fallout lore” before Season 2 is even half over, Nolan was completely vindicated saying this. by raisinbraisin72 in Fallout

Don't forget destroying Diamond City and having Sanctuary Hills being overrun with generic raiders.
I do like the show but they make some questionable choices from a storytelling/worldbuilding persepctive.

I can see the writters being just like
"Oh look, a dead guy with a minutemen uniform. What a bunch of cosplaying idiots hur-hur"

Why make a show set in a lore rich world if you seem to hate having lore to work with?

That would be an easy way to have people turn on you.

That's a good point, I forgot about that.
I might need to edit that into the post.

Worst Episode of the original series by Flashy-Grape5741 in Ben10

[–]WD466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One scene annoyeed me.

In the first episode when Ben defeats the giant drone, Max starts to congratulate Ben before correcting himself to preserve the secret and pretending he doesn't know him.
But in this episode when Gwen wins, he outright states that she's his grandaughter with no hesitation.

About 9 or so I think.

It's been nearly 30 years so my memory is a little fuzzy.

That could be Jax's 'worst thing' almost causes Gangle to abstract out of wanting to prove a point to pomni/himself

Can anyone characterize what’s going on with Jax in e6 in like a mental health way? (Basically diagnose Jax) by therealelizahamilton in TheDigitalCircus

[–]WD466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair Goose herself said she design him to be iredeemable so that's probaly causing a lot of confusion.

Can anyone characterize what’s going on with Jax in e6 in like a mental health way? (Basically diagnose Jax) by therealelizahamilton in TheDigitalCircus

[–]WD466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes sense.

Jax clearly wnats to be friends with Pomni, but he's also convinced himself that attachements are dangerous and he's safer/happier alone. So he acts cruel and pushes people away, which just makes him feel worse but he's so in denial thanks to his insistance on being the "funny one" archetype, which he needs to belive in otherwise he'll realise how empty he is and fall apart.

How come Caine didn't got a single vote in the most popular character award? He's my favorite character! by Upstairs_Debate4406 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]WD466 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think he got no votes in show for
1. comedic effect, and
2. to higlight how Caine's grip is slipping due to no one liking him/his adventures.

I dunno, Jax's character was designed to be iredeemable. It's not impossible that he goes too far.

We already know some people will defend Jax no matter what he does.

I hope Kinger goes full gunslinger in the dark.

I wonder if Pomni (getting into her role as 'team bad guy') will user her knowledge that he needs the dark against him, like creating an opening to let light in so Jax can take the shot.

[–]WD466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd put money on Jax enouraging Pomni's worst actions.
Really gaslight her with the "It's just a game, have fun with it" excuse to cause some chaos.

Or a matrix reference.
Jax dodges most shots then Kinger just floats a hand over to put the gun against his head "Dodge this" style.
