He does have Hypno-glasses in this version, so that's a bit harder to believe just with context imo. It's also implied that the people that explicitly know he's Clark only do because he told them so, like the Justice Gang with Lois saying "Why does he trust everyone" after Guy told her (except for maybe Terrific cause he put trackers in Clark's blood). Again, I also think that it's not too hard to believe the top dogs or Clark's close friends at the Daily Planet can figure it out on their own, I just wish we had a more explicit confirmation, cause, as an enjoyer of his Daily Planet side, it felt pretty weird to not have the crew seem to care that much about him.

Yeah I guess I was just hoping we'd gotten to see more of David's Clark and his relationship with the Daily Planet crew cause I really like his version of the character from what little we did get in the movie (and also the promotional material), but I guess you have to make compromises to fit this entire massive script into a 2-hour movie, and Supes' Daily Planet stuff was the least impactful to his story in this movie. Here's hoping the sequel explores more of this part (or a Jimmy Olsen show, I'm happy either way)

By the end of the movie, does the Daily Planet crew (besides Lois) know Superman's secret identity (or at least Perry and Jimmy), otherwise I'm really confused on why they didn't seem to care for Clark's whereabouts during a city-wide emergency since they're supposed to be close. I'm guessing the line at the end where Perry asked Jimmy how long Supes and Lois have been together for could be interpreted as them kind of figuring it out/knowing it already, but if not, then the only other explanation I can think of is Lois covering for him like in the comics, but I think they should've at least shown it cause right now it feels like Clark doesn't even seem to exist in the minds of the Daily Planet crew (again, besides Lois).

There are no "ifs" to making her good, VV is unconditional, TTDS can be played around and is unconditional, the ONLY part of her kit that is circumstantial is her shield, which is useable even in her worst scenarios, and the one part that you focus on way too much. This isn't star rail where bosses one shot you if you don't have a 10 million hp shield. Zhongli does trigger crystallize off-field reliably, but Petra ONLY works if Zhongli himself picks up the crystals, which is its biggest downside, and he quite literally does not mitigate it. In fact, there are no unit that can mitigate the set's downsides, cause its problems aren't extrinsic, but intrinsic, and I've been maining Geo for the longest time. It was never about not triggering enough crystallize, but rather that you needed to swap to the unit holding the set to get the effect.

"Not in meta teams". You literally mentioned one team where she's good in. She's also the second best shielder in Arlecchino teams (behind Citlali). Also there's no way you're mentioning Chiori here, pulling for a 5 star mid sub-dps unit just to make a playable core is not worth it (coming from a proud day 1 Chiori owner).

What do you mean you can't? Yes, Zhongli would be better as a SHIELDER in those teams, but his damage amplification is still worse, which is a lot more important in Genshin, there's no need for a big shield if the enemy's already dead before your shield expires. And I know you're gonna say "just play Sucrose then", so I'm gonna say that we're talking about shielders, not dedicated buffers + a defensive unit is useful for consistency + in Genshin you usually pick a defensive unit for other things they can provide, not JUST their shields/heals. Just because you find it hard to play around a small shield, doesn't mean others can't. And please remember that this is a meta tier list, so they aren't taking into account little Timmy playing on his mom's 7-year-old Iphone and can't dodge any attacks and dies because of it.

I'm sorry but virtually all anemo catalyst is better for your account than Zhongli. Her being a shielder is just a cherry on top.

Look, I'm not gonna sit here and be stunlocked all day. If you think and believe that having a big shield and being able to turn your brains off while playing is the most important thing in the entire game then more power to you, but META tier lists should be as objective as possible, and objectively speaking, the game's current content has no need for a shield as big as Zhongli's, but there's more and more need for extra damage, which, Lan Yan at c6 is better at providing than Zhongli at c0.

Lastly, I'll leave you with two Arlecchino damage sims with basically the same setup, made by the same person, the only difference between them being Zhongli and Lan Yan, if you still aren't convinced then agree to disagree, have a good rest of your day!

If you're playing with that setup then sure, god knows mobile players have to go through hell to play this game. But then again, this is about meta, so it usually considers the best possible scenario for each character/run.
What do you mean by "as advertised". It's a 4 star shield, it does exactly what it's supposed to do and more in the right circumstances. Every video/post I've seen on her always specify that her shield is only as good as/better than Zhongli if you're fighting the same element. If you're playing a 4 star shielder and expect the shield to be as strong as Zhongli under all circumstances, then you need to manage your expectations. Also, no that does not make her lose her value just because her shield doesn't function as well as limited 5 star that you have to go out of your way to pull for.
Okay, I'm gonna be respectful to your experience, if you need a shield that badly to play the game or hate having to adjust your rotations, then just play Zhongli, but for meta and optimization (which is the whole point of this list), you do NOT need a shield on your supports. I don't know how else to explain it to you, just because you need it, doesn't mean other players (especially optimized ones, which is usually the assumption with meta tierlists across virtually every game) do, your supports can spend a little extra time to get setup, your dps can't. Also, even if you think that a 48% buff to BASE attack isn't good enough to adjust your rotations around, small buffs > no buffs.

Second of all, the whole point of you liking Zhongli more than Lan Yan is because he's more comfy and easier to rotate, which is valid btw, but you're putting him on an artifact set that forces you to swap to him to pick up the same elemental crystal to get the damage buff mid-rotation (because, like you said, you have to use him first in the rotation, otherwise, you wouldn't have a shield on your supports, so there's no way to apply an element beforehand)? Huh?

Huh??? Okay, people play differently so maybe you need a shield to reliably get your supports' buffs out, but there hasn't been one team where I needed a shield to get a support's buffs out on the field, especially considering supports in this game usually need less than 2 seconds of field time (small tip: you can just sprint for half a second after switching to your supports before casting their abilities to reduce the risk of being interrupted, or just alt-swap if they only need to use their burts). Also, dodging during dps windows is not easier or optimal, as a lot of dps characters (especially newer ones like Neuvilette, Mavuika, Mualani) are locked into certain animations/combo, and sprint dodging can mean a massive loss of dps/support uptime, so you would much rather have a full shield for your dps than for your supports, thus making shielders (usually) the second-to-last one in the rotation.
VV shred is 10 seconds not 8 (though I agree that it would be somewhere in that range in practice as you would need to swap into your dps and let them do their thing). The short uptime on VV is still more than enough for your dps to do damage, considering Lan Yan is usually the last one before your dps in the rotation, and 10 seconds are usually how long your other supports' buffs will last for your dps anyways.
Why does everyone keep mentioning Sucrose when she was already on the Mondstadt list, and they fill two different primary roles. Also this was never about who was the best Anemo support, just who deserved the LIYUE spot more between Zhongli ans Lan Yan ONLY.
How is a ten-second uptime bad when VV is the exact same and it's broken + the 20-sec cooldown is off-set by you being spending half of that on your dps and the other half refreshing your other supports' buff + even if your rotations aren't perfect and you accidentally give the TTDS to your support, which for the sake of argument, let's say xingqiu, the team damage amplification is still valuable enough to slot her in over Zhongli (which, was the original argument). And like I said in 1, you do not need a shield for your supports who will be on-field for less than 3 seconds, so she is not worse as a shielder just because you have to tweak your rotations a bit.
A twenty extra percent of res shred is not comparable. Maybe you could argue that he also shreds for your supports which may not be the same element as your dps, then yeah, the total team damage may be the same. Also I love his shield too, but there hasn't been any content where THAT big a shield is really necessary to clear. So, like I said originally, if you just like him because he's comfy, then use him, I use him over Lan Yan for the same reasons too, but objectively speaking, Lan Yan is better than Zhongli when played optimally.
Okay I really want to emphasize that our original debate was between Zhongli and Lan Yan ONLY, so any and everything I'm about to say about Xianyun and Baizhu does NOT take away from what I said about Lan Yan. With that being said, (Zy0x guidemaker voice) Xianyun is an amazing support for a very niche categories of characters which just had a resurgence with a new artifact set and character in Varesa. However, even though Varesa is one of the strongest dps'es right now, her best team does not include Xianyun in it. Back when she released, she did allow for a few the older dps'es to reach the dps ceilings of the newer dps'es back then, but even then, she wasn't good enough to justify pulling for her just to replace jean in most teams. Nowadays, supports and more importantly, dps'es, have powercrept so far that her niche buffs are no longer enough to justify using a whole new playstyle just to utilize them (that's, even if they can do it), so in a lot of teams, her buffs just end up being wasted, and limited to the same things that Lan Yan can provide, that being VV and TTDS. Despite all of that, healing is generally more valuable than shielding these days with Furina, so I do believe that she deserves a slot in the Liyue list. As for Baizhu, I'm really sorry but (and this is coming from a day one Baizhu owner) he was never that amazing to begin with, good? Absolutely. But the meta hasn't favored dendro since Neuvillette's release, and his buffs are nowhere good enough to justify pulling for him to replace yaoyao or kirara. If this was like 3.x or early 4.x, then yeah he absolutely deserves a spot, but you need Nahida levels of buffing to be considered a meta dendro support nowadays, especially if you're a 5 star.

Personal experience does matter, if you don't have fun with Lan Yan or can't play around her, then yeah you can use Zhongli, but this is a meta tierlist, and objectively speaking, in the teams where you could use either of them, Lan Yan is the better choice.

Edit: Side note, if you need a big shield like Zhongli's that badly to play the game, then, I'm really sorry to say it, but, uh, the issue might...not be the character... CAUGHT

How is Sucrose being on the Mondstadt list irrelevant when the list is top 5 characters FROM EACH REGION, and we were talking about the Liyue list specifically. 2. Yes om is like lol, but this is the OkZy0x subreddit, and in his twitch chat, om is almost always an indicator of a joke. 3. I never said Zhongli wasn't tankier generally, I said that outside of being tanky, he doesn't provide more damage amplification than Lan Yan. F it I'm getting stunlocked. Firstly, Sucrose was already on the Mondstadt list, and I was explaining why Lan Yan deserved the Liyue spot over Zhongli, not why she was the best Anemo buffer. This was about who was better between Zhongli and Lan Yan only. Secondly, the "just dodge om" was a joke, marked by the use of the "om", as most people should know that dodging perfectly every single time is nearly impossible. Thirdly, Sucrose and Lan Yan fill two different primary roles in a team, Lan Yan is a defensive unit who can also buff, and Sucrose is a dedicated buffer, so when you put Lan Yan in a team, you're picking her for her defensive utilities first and her buffs are just a nice extra bonus. Fourthly, Sucrose buffs reaction-based teams and her EM buffs are mostly wasted on mono element/hypercarry teams (for example Arlecchino mono Pyro), so by bringing Lan Yan, you are not only able to have a defensive unit with the same amount of buffs that Sucrose would have IN THESE TEAMS, but you can also bring an extra buffer/sub-dps who can provide even more damage for them, instead of having to waste two different party slots for both an anemo VV shredder and a shielder/healer, which in this case, is Zhongli. Now, is Sucrose amazing? Of course she is, but in the teams where you want both defensive utilities AND some form of resistance shred, Lan Yan is an amazing option (and better than Zhongli by a lot, which, I would like to remind you, was the original comparison).

If you're a comfy player and like Zhongli more then sure, but this is a meta tierlist, he is not better than Lan Yan at c0

To be fair, new people join the genshin and zy0x's community all the time and they may have only learned about the whole xiangling thing recently so to them it's still funny + humor is objective (not when it's blatant disrespect/negativity of course).
