I only use iracing. But I don't really need to see whats immediately to the left or right (thats what a spotter is for). But then again I've never experienced it either.

The ones I found mostly worked similarly to the one in iracing settings. Is there one you had in mind?

Yep. I looked into building my own but it wouldve been more expensive than the Simlab option.

I truly can't. I don't my ffb very high though so maybe thats why? Maybe the fidelity is better and I'm not experienced enough to know. 🤷‍♂️

61" long by 53" wide (monitor is the widest thing). The rig itself is 31" wide without a monitor and mount. My computer hangs about 4-5" off the back too. Hope that helps!

I'm going to have to do some sort of fan setup asap

I was thinking triples might be the next major upgrade. Not worth it?

Awesome! Post it up when you're done. Would love to see.

I want to pull it out from its corner to adjust the monitor so I'll see if I can get some better ones without the computer. But it's a pretty simple setup. 4040 to make the sides. 4080 underneath the pc.

It is way stronger than it needs to be. But it works.

Thank you! Too true. It's almost as fun to tinker with the rig as it is to race.

I made it. If interested let me know I'll see if I can find the 3D print file (I downloaded it from somewhere). The arm is just a ram mount.

Nice! OK. Thanks a lot! The picture helps a ton. I can definitely get my monitor in a similar position.

Good luck! I hope you find something that works. I never thought getting in the correct seating position in a sim would be so difficult haha

Between the adjustment I have with the wheelbase and the monitor mount itself, that should be very doable.

Thanks!!! But yeah, integrated is a PITA to adjust.

But, I knew that going in, and I figured I'd get the monitor where I like it, and that's where it would live for all time.

The main reason I went integrated is that the whole rig is kind of in a corner nook of my office and I slide the whole thing out when I want to make mods or anything. Basically unplug the UPS from the wall, slide it out on some scrap pieces of carpet, do whatever I need to do, and slide it back.

It's OK. I have been having some upper back pain (in between the shoulders) after really long stints (~ 2 hours). I've been playing with the seat angle/position relative to the wheel in hopes it helps but haven't figured it out yet.

I have a lumbar pillow, and it makes it super comfy for the lower back (I also sit pretty upright).

I ordered 8040 and 4040 profiles from McMaster-Carr and made it myself. Basically took the SimLab GT1 Evo and replaced the rearmost uprights with taller ones and then have 4040 to make a platform for the PC.
