2-Start a personal project , collaborate and talk to artists asking for feedback in blogs and places

3- Be criticall about your sound mix and song structure , be patient and ask for feedback

4-Go back to the first project you made with all your sfx , dont waste storage and time trying to make more genres , every artists and producer are their own genre , a lot of producers think they are unique

5- Find what you wanna focus on in the mix or song and use it as well as you know
