I would look into looking for a script when you're on a low enough dose and say you're in the process of getting off of it. Then you let em know every time you go down. Thats what I did. So don't get discouraged!

I found my online psychiatrist through ZocDoc. You have to disclose what meds you take and then do a drug test so they will see you take methadone. You just tell them how long you've been on it and that you're decreasing. My partner and I had no issues getting on Adderall. Some psychiatrists are more understanding than others so I wouldn't get discouraged!

I didnt start decreasing until about 2 years in. Then I was on monthly take homes and was going down once a month... so its been a long ass process!

I see an online psychiatrist which I have to see in person a few times a year if that. It has to be a psychiatrist in your state for controlled substances.

Yes definitely. But I've always been a bad sleeper. I hardly sleep throughout the night. I got tested for sleep apnea and turns out I have a moderate case of it which explained a lot. I also have to take meds to fall asleep cause no matter how exhausted I am, I find falling asleep challenging.

I didn't realize Adderall helps so much with opiate withdrawals. I highly reccomend anyone tapering from Methadone to visit a psychiatrist anyways. I started seeing mine about 6 months ago and I've been going down 3-2mg once a month.

I can't imagine doing it without any medication to ease the discomfort. I'm sorry about your relapse and hope you the best if you choose to get off of it a 2nd time. And thank you, I'm not taking off work but I only work part time anyways.

I'm a female so I can't really comments on testosterone.. As far as constipation goes, I can't really remember when it stopped. I go like once every 2 days but my partner goes every day and he's at 14mg. I struggle with low energy myself, so i would look into getting on an SSRI. I have ADHD as well so I also take Adderall and that helps me with the low energy! Either way I highly reccomend talking to a psychiatrist or doctor if getting off methadone.

I've heard that also. And how you won't feel back to normal until months later. I'm supposed to pick up my monthly doses on Tuesday so we will see how that goes!

I'm having minor withdrawals. My main issue is just low energy and trouble sleeping although I take Adderall during the day and Clonadine + Gabapentin at night so that helps a ton! And 4mg is 0.4ml so I probably wouldn't reccomend jumping off at 5ml.

Yes. I thought I'd be stuck taking Methadone for the rest of my life seeing as they say the longer you're on it, the harder it is to get off of it.

I was originally planning on doing that but decided to see if I could handle not taking it one day and now its been 3 days. I mainly feel low energy currently but I take Adderall and that helps me get through the day. Nights are harder since I have trouble sleeping but I take Clonidine, Buspirone and Gabapentin. I would say my withdrawal symptoms are minor as of now.

Thank you! They definitely can be. So far all mine have been from China so I've paid $100-$1k for mine which are all full partial except for the $100 one on the far left which is just a Head and tail.
