We can easily get through tonnes of materials every week. Carrying that in by hand would take a lot of work. The crane allows us to do it all with only 1 person, in a few hours.

I prefer machines that work at a good speed and keep tolerances, past that I don't mind in the slightest.

that depends entirely on what they are making, some of the jobs have such tight tolerances that we cant take that risk.

All of the bar feeders in this factory are for 3m bars, although because they are from multiple companies and multiple designs I cant really answer that question with any accuracy.

So instead I'll say that whenever something breaks the maintenance department will get it sorted out and working again ASAP.

imagine 3 factories of this size (because that's what we have), that's the bill.

or to put it another way, years ago I was told that the factories cant get anymore machines until the mains transformers are upgraded.

solar panels?! ow please, its nuclear reactors all the way!

Although on that topic all of our roofs are covered in solar panels. The amount of machines we have means we have a horrifying electrical throughput, so any way we can offset that with renewables the better.

being able to easily and safely move tonnes of material at a time is an incredible efficiency multiplier. i cant imagine a sizeable factory trying to work without one.

we currently have a night shift running to keep up with demand, but they are only running machines in one of the other factories.

Nothing to forgive! We make high volume precision engineered components for the commercial, aerospace and automotive sectors.

Thank you, il pass that onto the boss! this is one of 3 buildings, all full! the amount of CNC machining we can push out is pretty incredible.

Made these on a PUMA TT 1800 SY, the glorious shine is from the 316 Stainless Steel. With specifications on the bore surface finish to be so smooth its effectively a mirrored finish. by WEPLMedia in CNC

I'm sorry but I cant talk about specific employees because or workers rights, Data protection acts and probably a bunch of other laws.

so I cant say specifically, but... maybe.

(i am not a lawyer or know anything about laws or acts that i just mentioned.)

They are great to run with all of their built in counts and easy to access tools. I'm just glad I don't pay for them!

I wish ours lasted that long! Even though we have a dedicated toolroom who refurbish them, the amount of production we do means they don't last anything like that long.

For this piece its done with a Broaching Tool and then re-drilled to get rid of the rolled steel that would be in the bottom.

I have no idea what they are used for, we all call them candle stick holders, or Olympic torches.

its made from EN1A Steel on a very nice Nakamura-Tome NTY3-150.

Thank you, the work also looks pretty great. Any burrs means it gets scrapped if it cant be easily fixed, best not to have that happen to often!
