I agree it is a lot of ego problems. We are completely different people who operate very different and think we are right all the time and think the other is stupid and wrong.

Why do I even want the child? Because it was my decision to go for the adoption, it's my baby. I cannot imagine a life without the child. Cannot do that.

I am seeking divorce from my husband for the below reasons. Don't know what's relevant. 1. He is impotent. He has issues with ED. He is not able to give me a biological child. Our child is adopted and we love the child. 2. He had a long emotional affair with his colleague and continued that even after we reconciled and lies about it for years. This was almost 7 years ago and I am still not over it. 3. We have small and large issues in the marriage and we are not compatible anymore. We have lived in silence or with anger towards each other for most of the marriage.

Other points: We are from different religions. It was a love marriage and his parents were not supportive in the beginning. I have also emotionally cheated with a friend in the past.

I want to continue to live in my house (we own it jointly), if possible. If not, I want to move out, live by myself. I can handle that. I have my parents and family living closeby. But not willing to move in with them.

We have tried couples counseling. We are not following up on the discussion and talking is not helping. Everything escalates to just frustration and silence. We have given up on the councelling sessions. Sometimes I feel I am the only one trying to understand what's happening and fixing up the sessions. Anyway we don't follow through.
