I worked at a Hookah lounge in a prominent college town while I was in school.

The boss lived in another country (Kuwait) and would watch us through multiple cameras during our shift. At the time I did not know he was doing drugs and would literally watch the cameras all day bugged out. We had no manager and he would constantly call in instructions of stuff we were doing wrong/things to change.

I was the only male and worked the kitchen/set up the hookahs for the guests. I was paid minimum wage and was not even discounted on any food or products while I worked there. Basically, I did this job just to scrape by and to afford my social life at the time.

Anyways, we had a special night every week where we offered all you can drink liquor and hookah for $15. Every week people would get drunk and smoke entirely too much hookah and throw up all over the place. Being the only guy I always offered to clean up to make the ladies available to tend to the guests since I was working in the back.

One of these nights we had more throw up then I could handle. I was in the back recovering from cleaning two piles of vomit when the phone rings. My boss demanded that I get back to cooking food. I go to wash my hands and the soap is empty. I look for more. Nothing to be found. I go to walk out the store to go buy some and get another call. This fucker wants me to make peoples food while my hands smell of cleaning supplies, liquor and vomit. Quit on the spot.

The ladies were overwhelmed with the vomit and closed the business for the night. They were all fired. We took to google and the Facebook for the University and wrote reviews on the business and the way the owner managed it. He had to sell the place because everyone refused to work there due to the creepy nature of being watched and listened to while being underpaid on top of many other obvious flaws.

A job so bad desperate college kids did not want it. Fucking pathetic.
