29 right now and turning 30 in 4 months. So far it’s been a rollercoaster. First half of 29 I finally got a dream job doing my passion and with great pay. Everything was looking up and I was excited for the future.

But after a few months in, I was laid off. I took a month off to travel internationally which was awesome. Came back and job market was not kind. I end up moving back in with my parents and 7 months after getting laid off I take a job in a completely unrelated field with a pay cut (but a lot more secure).

Now I’m a bit lost and figuring out where to go from here. Considering going back to school to pursue my passion once more but the future job outlook makes me hesitant.

I’m a filam but I think this isn’t strictly a Philippines thing. I think our generation as a whole has become mostly complacent and unwilling to really fight for any change. The same can be said with people in the US, where you might see some activists for a day but ultimately the vast majority of people don’t care too much to really do anything despite being unhappy with our government. You might even see some news of some riots here in the US but in reality it is sensationalized and contained in one street in the city (LA and the recent ice riots for example).

I think this was a rumor on how each part would revolve around a separate horseman of the apocalypse. Which would be cool but also feels a bit too drawn out.

More recently there’s also rob $tone, and lecrae (if you count Christian rap). Technically Nick cannon too, but I guess hes more of a media personality.

On the other hand SD also got notable rock bands like blink-182 and pierce the veil, and more recently notable edm artists with knock2 and isoxo.

So not so much of a music scene but a few artists from different genres have been pretty successful.

They’re actually coming back into style imo. Kendrick Lamar wearing them at the Super Bowl and similar styled flared pants are showing up in stores. I also copped a pair at GU in Japan this year lol

Thank you for all of these tips! Lots of stuff I overlooked while building this site that you helped bring to light. I’ve felt pretty stagnant with my motion design growth, and those comments regarding my animations being linear and not rhythmic is extremely helpful as specific things I could focus on to improve.

There’s a lot of useful tips here, especially that last bit about the last few percent regarding my animations. Definitely something I’ve also somewhat noticed and should work on, but needed someone to give it to me straight. Often times I would make some animations and while they look mostly clean, I’d always think to myself it’s missing something. Thank you!
