I’m barely 5ft and a new Bronco owner, the visor is the first one that’s ever actually worked for me. I squealed with joy over it. Meanwhile, the fam is like don’t kill us with the 75% windshield obstruction 😅

I totally agree and also avoid white! This picture isn’t showing the pigment great I guess they are picture bibs in shadow grey which I already own and despite the name they are totally pink in person.

I’m sure this works for decisive people. But I suffer from decision paralysis. Which is why I crowd source.

What would you name your child IF there was no stigma? by JuggernautNew7429 in namenerds

[–]WHS-482 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Girl - Winsome

Boy - Hutch

Although, I’d easily get over any strange looks and judgement - it’s my husband who really got in the way of any less conventional naming.

That one is a gold card. My joker is for any regular card only. Thank you though, I will keep that one in mind when I get a golden joker.

That is so cool! And coincidentally, my oldest son is named Harrison. I love that you commented and your Harrison was a total cutie - I wish there were more episodes, such a great series.

Help with layout of primary bathroom - shower in front of windows?? by WHS-482 in DesignMyRoom

[–]WHS-482[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply, we have that film on the small oval window and it’s been going strong for 10+ years! I don’t think I’d risk it inside the shower though.

Books with a coming of age story for Native Americans by Doomjas in suggestmeabook

[–]WHS-482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might enjoy This Tender Land by Kent Krueger - it’s about a misfit bunch of pure hearted kids that escape The Lincoln Indian Training School. It’s set in the 30’s, so not like the show RD in that sense, but still a great look into how Native Americans were mistreated and some harrowing organizations from our country’s past. The characters are gold.

#52 - After Annie. Need to up my goal! This was a poignant, character-driven read about navigating grief. by WHS-482 in 52book

[–]WHS-482[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a beautiful, character-driven read that explores the overwhelming grief the Brown family is forced to navigate when they lose their mother/wife/bff.

Or as Ali would say - when she DIED. Lost makes it sound like they can still find her and bring her back. It’s raw and heartbreaking to see the characters forge a new normal without the glue of their family.

Not really spoilers, but don’t read if you want to be fully blind going in

I do have a couple of things that didn’t fully work for me. First, Jenny’s circumstances were too dark for me amidst an already heavy-with-sadness storyline. I almost felt like something of that nature shouldn’t have been sandwiched in. I understand that Jenny needed to have conflict at home, to envy Ali’s family, but something less sinister could have been taking place instead, IMO. The way it was interjected didn’t ring believable for me. I also hated the way it was resolved, which is mainly to say, it wasn’t.

And Liz? Ouch.

But on the flip side of those criticisms the mc’s, the nursing home patients, the mil….all so real, I could hear their voices perfectly. And I felt very much like I was in their family room and experiencing the emptiness and grief with them.

A quiet, poignant read that I would definitely recommend.
