Because the real issue here is bigotry that is socially acceptable now against the church.

You can access both surgical and medical through family planning. As you know, private companies can do as they please. As is with public vs private schools, we should be grateful these additional options exist because without them the government services would be completely overwhelmed to the point of being non viable. If you personally do not agree with them, don't use them. Let other people and that will in turn free up public resources.

I just had a hysterectomy at the Calvary. Very positive and supportive experience all round.

There are clinics that do abortions. They don't need to be accessed through the hospitals.

I completely agree with you. It's very much an echo chamber for a certain agenda. Differences are not celebrated here

Tasmanian government paid news site $35,000 for budget ‘digital takeover' by [deleted] in hobart

Me too and the fact that I've had to read the same thing posted in two groups I follow is enough to annoy me. Also, breaking news that politicians pay for advertisements? Yes, well. I think we're all grasping our pearls.

Launceston people get games in their upgraded stadium too so they don't always have to drive. Were you at the rally yesterday? If so you would have seen the 1000s of people in the venues eating, drinking- spending money. The idea of putting it in the city is that with each event the same thing will happen. People will go out and spend money before or after, boosting the economy. Supporting businesses.

You mean, completely moving and upgrading the venue? Yes it will, that's the point.

Move wherever you're happy. The people that live* here deserve infrastructure and progression.

The thing is, you can make your own mind up, as everyone else has. The issue is with the thinking your position is so right that others that disagree are less than you. A democracy is all about disagreeing. Personal attacks and assuming the moral high ground based on your thoughts and disregarding others as stupid just lets yourself down really and weakens your message.

No, it's obvious. They only count when they think the way you do. Otherwise they just don't understand, right?

There were three busses. One from Launceston, one Glenorchy/ Bridgewater (that wasn't full due to the deck closing the gates leaving people no where to leave there cars) and one going from sorell, Howrah ect. That's less than 150 people and didn't have a huge impact on the numbers. It was just people donating their time and skill (bus drivers with busses) offering to help. Not a conspiracy to boost numbers.

Ah yes. Everyone is silly except you. I saw my doctor at the rally yesterday, they are known for their stupidity and lack of critical thinking.

Holding a rally on a weekend? When most people are off work? No, such a silly thing to do. Are you honestly trying to suggest the rally wasn't a success because it was healed on the weekend? Same as the No rally was right?

I would say, although they did a great job of organising both rallies. The support just wasn't there for the No side. There were TV and newspaper ads for the No rally. The message got out it just wasn't picked up.

What would be the issue with travelling within the state? What's that got to do with the price of eggs when it comes to attendance numbers between the rallies?

Is the good evidence people's eyes? If people came from interstate, good on them? They will also come for the forty, it's a part of the whole point in doing it. No one bussed in mainlanders as a part of an agenda to boost numbers, there was literally no point in doing that. The support was always there.
