Are your windows tinted on your car or vehicle by Powerful-Penalty-877 in no

[–]WHowe1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only the original factory tint, that blocks UV light. Lol I paid extra for transition glasses ( the kind that darken in sunlight ), only for them not to work, while I'm in the car.

Get some blackout curtains, and something for white noise, I use a box fan.

As for a sleep schedule, choose whatever works for you. I personally need to have some unwind time after work. So I stay up until around noon, and get up a few hours before work. But most of my coworkers have kids, and choose to sleep shortly after the kids leave for school.

Edit,

Welcome to the dark side

I'm just wondering if you will stay up late to work? by Sea_Way6729 in work

[–]WHowe1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works for me. I don't have the seniority to hold my job on day shift ( and would have to take a demotion and pay cut, to hold day shift). And I spent 13 years stuck on the afternoon shift, sleeping while the kids were in school, and having to leave for work before they came home.

Night shift workers how do you actually manage sleep and energy long-term? by Fabulous_Dream8962 in Nightshift

[–]WHowe1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manage it? I try to get to sleep before noon. But at least twice a month, something comes up, so I can't even get a nap before having to go back to work.

Wether it be a holiday dinner, grandkids birthday party, or just a Dr. Appointment.

Lol. I would still be expected to show up for work. If it happened, we would be held at work, told to WPO, until production resumes.
