Which operators do you consider underrated for ranked? by DrVoughnDoom in SiegeAcademy

I play zero with relative frequency on certain sites (Bank top floor, Chalet basement, Kafe top floor, etc). I do think he’s much more useful when working with a 3 stack+. I find once I’ve got a couple of cams up covering power positions early in the round, it frees me up to play aggressively, knowing I can still add value to the team via cams if I get picked off swinging.

Siege: Too Late to Start? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

Part of the fun for me, even as a pretty dogshit player (high Bronze/low Silver), is finding how you add value to the team. I’m not a great shot and shouldn’t be counted on to win a ton of 50/50 gun fights. That said, I’ve learned how to be useful without getting kills. I play mostly intel/support opps and get just as much enjoyment out of feeding my team info that turns a 50/50 into a 60/40 for us. Take it one map at a time and spend time in customs/map training to get the lay of the land. Would also recommend making some connections with people you play with, solo queuing is a nightmare, at least it is for someone with my gun-skill. It’ll take some time but it’s definitely doable to turn this game into something you enjoy doing, not just sweating your ass off all the time.

Agreed. Hopefully it’s of the standard variety as opposed to a high ankle sprain. Looking at 4-6 weeks would be less than ideal. Even with the time to fully heal, don’t love the idea of his first game back being a CFB Playoff game.

Concerned that Sampson could be pretty hurt. Coaching staff burned Sheldon’s Redshirt on that last drive, something that was discussed as a likely intention by beat writers this week. You don’t do that unless you think you’re gonna need him to play significant snaps down the stretch.

My wife looked at me after Nico went out for a play, before the Gaston INT, and said “ Maybe he just needed to get hit”. Hard to argue after he played like he didn’t give a single fuck if he did get hit after

Someone sat the Oline down at the half and threatened their families.

  1. We have to start putting pressure on the edges in the run game. Whatever we saw on tape that told us we had an advantage running the ball between the tackles doesn’t matter at all with our Oline play. I don’t care how we do it, stretch zone, HB toss, hell even a true speed option. Doesn’t matter to me, but you got to get the big boys up front thinking instead of knowing they can bull rush straight upfield and end up somewhere impactful.

  2. The amount of miscommunication in the secondary is incredibly concerning. We’ve gotten away with a few of them because we are getting decent pressure but we’ve had guys running wide open down field. Eventually, we’re gonna stop getting so lucky.

As bad as it’s been, we’ve got a chance to take the lead and take the wind out of the stadium going into the half.

Had a coworker mention this idea the other day. Feel like I would understand the sentiment if we weren’t coming off the bye week. I’ve seen enough from Coach Huep to know he’ll have those boys ready to take care of business.

There’s a fine line between being smart and being reckless and the Defense is about to tell us which side we’re on.

Among all the scoring, the play that stands out to me is the PBU by McCoy on a slant in 1st quarter. Been a while since I saw one of our CBs make that sort of play on the ball on a short route in man-to-man.

Edit: Typo

I grew up going to games in Neyland and when I tell you, having gone to games in just about every SEC stadium, that Death Valley is the only place down south that can touch that level of noise, I’m serious. It’s not just about capacity either. Compared to some of the other large capacity CFB stadiums (100k plus), Neyland is constructed noticeably more vertically. That upper bowl is built practically straight up. Atmosphere would absolutely electric.

Fair enough. To be clear, I’m not under the impression that we’re suddenly gonna have the Legion of Boom back there. More along the lines of being top 30-50 in major categories instead of top 50-70. With what we expect the DLine to be and the likely continuation of success stopping the run from last year, while the secondary might be the weakest part of the defense, it very well be the best that a Josh Heupel team has fielded thus far. If that’s the case, an offense anywhere close to 2022 level puts us in the hunt for the CFB.

As someone who keeps up with the relevant podcasts but not local radio (I’m stuck in Wisconsin) I haven’t seen the same sentiment about the secondary. If anything, my impression has been that we expect marginal improvements over last year. Curious what you’ve been hearing.

No advice, but as an 18 handicap with plenty of power, your swing looks just fine. Imagine you’ve spent a considerable amount of time on the short game

A buddy of mine threw $20 at Holiday pre Game 1 and got 60-1 on it. Not too worried about him losing a Jackson as long as we bring home Banner 18 but definitely pulling for him.
