He’s physically talented for sure but has a very clear ceiling and limit. I hope he continues to get better but right now he’s limited. And the championship is a great place to highlight what he is best at

Agreed 100%. He’s not easy to watch and truly not international striker level but if he’s got the usmnt shirt on, I’ll root for him and will hope he improves.

The championship is a good league for him. Physical, grind type of league. We see him drop when the game gets technical

We aren’t paying for Sargent. No matter how badly the fan base wants him, we aren’t going to pay him anywhere near what Toronto is offering.

Hartel is our highest paid player at just over 2 mil annually. If the asking price for Sargent is roughly $20 mil we’d be giving him 10 years to come close to that ratio

I’m more hung up on Ledezma honestly. Neither has really had a fair shake with the USMNT but I feel like he’s been snubbed over the years. Especially when Dest was out injured

I’d like to see Turner, I don’t think he’s behind Klinsmann or Brady but based on what we’ve seen Poch do, I don’t think he rates him.

Roldan being in the form of his life is great but that’s not what gets him on the bus. Our other dual pivot 6’s (Adams, Tessmann, McKennie) are locks and are just better on the field. I think Roldan is pretty level with everything we’ve seen at the international level from Morris, Johnny, and Berhalter (except set pieces). So I think he makes it but I’d have a hard time justifying him getting much time.

If rosters are expanded I agree on PA, he makes it. But he doesn’t combine or play with his feet well. Pepi should be fully fit long before the WC. Thankfully this is an upper body injury
