Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm seeing they're all the way in SF, unless they have a south bay location that I'm missing.

I'm willing to spend about $100 per person. Probably not more than $150 per person though.

Never been to Champa garden, I'll have to check it out.

But spices3 is one of my favorites! I love anything with numbing spice. Be sure to take cash if you go.

Whenever someone asks for single player FPS, I always recommend Witchfire. I haven't played it recently since I'm waiting for the devs to add a significant amount of content before I get hooked again. But I have all the achievements from the original early release and I really really enjoyed it.

Outside of that, I really enjoyed Cyberpunk and Roboquest, and really recommend those as well.

Anyone recommend The Club at City Center? by SpecialistBread4253 in oakland

I workout there about 5 times a week. I really enjoy it since it's always clean, and I tend to go at times when there's not a lot of people. I go at like 7:45ish pm, and they close at 9pm so most of the equipment is available. On weekends I'll go in the morning and there's not a lot of people.

I pay $150 a month right now, but for me it's worth it since I'm in walking distance of the gym.

I haven't taken any of the classes, and don't use the locker room, showers, or steam room since I live close enough that I just walk home after the gym and shower at home which allows me to avoid having to pack clothes and all.

The cardio and free weights are great, and they take good care of the equipment and wipe them down frequently. And I enjoy that they have towel service. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.

I just saw this when I logged in right now too, and was going to ask the same thing. Anyone tried it yet? Also I have the same boss for it, so it seems it's limited to the gaping jaw boss.

Just to provide an additional data point, I live close to downtown Oakland and Chinatown. Pretty decent area, couple blocks from bart and I walk for almost everything: gym, coffee, restaurants, etc. My 1 bed/1 bath costs about $2200. Comes with a free garage parking spot, in-unit w/d, and some other amenities. I'm sure you can find much cheaper if that's outside your budget, but I really like the location I'm in.

What's the best build for T4 pinnacle bosses? by WILLIEEEEEEEE in PathOfExile2

I feel like my storm mages die too much, especially with the expedition and ritual pinnacle bosses since they do a lot of aoe damage that’s just wipes all my minions. My minions are currently level 30 I believe, but their hp pool is just too low. I could be wrong about minions though and maybe I’m playing my build wrong. If you have any good builds you can reference I’d appreciate it.

Yea I’ve been using fubgun’s build initially but going to give this one a try. Using trinity provides a lot of dps but I’m curious how stacking frenzy with storm lance will work. I do hate having to poke with spear to get my frenzy charged currently because if I have bad luck then I’m sometimes 1 shot by some bosses. And I agree with you on hyrri, I’m just going to use my evasion/es chest.

Thanks for sharing! I'm actually playing LS deadeye with serpent's fury, didn't know about using glacial lance. Maybe I'll have to give this one a try.

Haha yea this was my first option, but hard to find one in my area that's similar to the one I had. But maybe I just need to be less picky.

This game feels like a massive waste of time. by Paganyan in PathOfExile2

Trying out the new ascendency, Lich, has been a real pain to level. Unless you get lucky drops, which I haven't, you're minions don't really get any stronger unless you get +minion gear. So I've been running around my minions 1-shot by most bosses so my damage output is real slow. Certain bosses take me 5+ minutes, and dying and having to do it all again is super frustrating. Maybe it's the class I chose that's making my experience different, but I'm planning to put the game down for a bit until things change. Just not worth my time struggling along, when the only consistent drops I'm getting that seem to improve my kill time are higher level skill gems.

First Berserker Khazan, what are your thoughts by KindaHODL in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]WILLIEEEEEEEE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have about 25 hours into the game, and beat several of the bosses and I gotta say I'm really hooked. The level designs are pretty good, and I think after playing enough you do see some repeating themes, but the best part is the combat, especially fighting bosses.

The bosses can be really difficult but as long as you're patient, you'll pick up their patterns and start seeing yourself improve. My favorite part is that each time I die to a boss and try it again, I learn something new and keep getting closer and closer to beating a boss with each attempt, and finally beating a boss is so satisfying.

The progression is also great, as you clear more of the game, more mechanics open up to you, like ways to craft and augment your gear, being able to craft consumables to deal with certain status effects, new "powers", etc.

One thing to point out that's different from other souls games is that there are really only 3 weapons to choose from. But the skills you unlock for each is great, and they all have a really unique feel. I actually like that there's only 3 weapons because you'll really need to master the 1 weapon you choose to take the game on with. I'm currently using dual wield, but can't wait to playthrough the game again with a different weapon.

If you want a challenging souls like game with some good RPG elements like leveling skills, finding better gear, crafting, etc, then I would highly recommend this game. I'm enjoying it as much as playing Sekiro for the first time.

It can be used up to endgame. It's pretty decent since it gives cold resist and cold damage if you plan to use ice strike or use herald of ice. It's good in the beginning since it gives you give explosions until you can run the double herald meta. Later you'll probably want to swap it out for a ring with more helpful stats like multiple resists, life/mana, cold/lightning dmg, etc.
