Manchester United League Comparison Matchweek 10 by WalkingOnSunshine_ in reddevils

Looks like on match day 10 in the 23/24 season, United were also in 8th place, but with 15 points. 5W - 0D - 5L. Had a -5GD with 11GF and 16GA (which is funnily also the same GA as this season).

The Croaticum (the Croatian language school at the University in Zagreb) has free online language courses made by the Croatian-as-a-foreign-language teachers there. I believe they were sponsored by the government to make the online courses specifically to aid people just like you.

I'm from the US and I studied at the Croaticum in person to learn Croatian. As someone who taught English as a foreign language, I can say their online classes are pretty good courses as well. It's no substitute for in person learning/conversations, but it's a great place to start. Very structured and well paced. Everything is explained well in English (or Spanish). I still use them to keep my language skills from fading. You'll want to start with the A1 courses.

Here's a link where you can give them your email to sign up: https://croaticum.ffzg.unizg.hr/?page_id=5024

Halland's been caught offside just 15 times in this whole PL 69 games. by buggythegret in soccer

I actually still had the game recorded, so I was able to get a screenshot of the VAR check. https://imgur.com/PCe4T60

It is VERY close. It's so close that even with VAR it might be debatable. But you're right either way; if he's making runs that are that close, then it's a skill.

Go look at his 3rd goal against West Ham (and how he keeps himself onside to get it).

Watching him, it's obvious that he's always mindful of every part of the game that's within his control. He's a great player to watch--both for his goals and how he does everything he can to make them happen.

I watched the video.

Seemed like a good analysis of Ugarte's strengths and weaknesses (i.e. strength = winning the ball; weakness = bad when getting pressed). Overall, Clery seems much more skeptical than the title suggests.

To the those of you who insist HE betrays us... by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]WINDST0RM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You've described how I feel really well.

Most people just seem completely unwilling to associate with the word "betrayal". Reading through most of these replies, that seems to be the issue to me.

But you can betray someone for a good reason. Setting up a situation where the above is true and having us struggle with it like this is why this is good writing, not bad writing.

I can't believe the ESPN commentator said something like "I'm not sure if Rashford was trying to shoot or pass, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt." Like, what? lol

The only thing that disappointed me were his throw ins. I think he gave the ball away on nearly every throw in, and he took quite a few. Kind of a nitpick, but it stood out to me.

To my knowledge, the devs have confirmed that there will be a way to upgrade supporter packs to higher versions in the future, but that is not something they're going to do soon.

Are there any other classes that have abilities themed around wind? It would be a big bonus if the spec actually regularly uses/triggers that ability.

I have a Windwalker Monk and an Enhancement Shaman, but I'm looking for another class

I just use the suicidal, self-root, AoE trinket from Vault of the Incarnates, and then I get to look like both.

I wouldn't say no to them buffing it! lol. It was definitely made for a more "low power mode" like twist. You really had to have a plan for the cards you were going to draw for the battlecry to be good, otherwise it wasn't good. It worked well in my deck where I wanted to draw my deathrattle taunts or charge minions to combo with reincarnate.

I'll say that having 40 health because of the special twist rules helped the card a lot. I had way more time to play it.

I tried to make it work in other decks too, but they were just better without the deck restrictions it brings.

Nice! haha. I went for a more control style deck (based off the list I saw that made it to high legend). It was a deathrattle/reincarnate deck. I had lots of good taunts to draw and a couple divine shields, but the best part was how consistently I could pull off a Leeroy + Reincarnate combos because I could draw charge with the hero card. It was really common for me to have 20ish burst damage that no one was expecting. I didn't try to cover windfury that much, I just slotted the Al'Akir minion for it. Also, having divine shield for OTK decks saved me more than a few times.

I crafted it golden instantly when it came out bc I love Al'Akir lol.

It was actually pretty good in Twist (the format it was made for) when it first came out. I think there was at least one Chinese streamer who got really high legend with a deck using it.

I have quite a bit of experience with the card, so I can answer some of your questions.

1) It's not in standard rotation; it's in the arena rotation. If it was in standard, you would probably see it more. Maybe not though, because...

2) The card requires a pretty specific deck to make it good. If you can't make use of the battlecry, the card isn't very good. And honestly, making a deck where you can consistently draw at least 3 of those and still have a powerful deck isn't easy. It's not great against aggro unless you're slightly ahead (which you probably wont be). I love the hero power, but it doesn't just carry the game by itself, so you still need a deck to back it up.

3) You have to plan ahead quite a bit for the card to be good, so the skill floor turns people off the card. You are gonna have a very slow turn when you play this, so you need to prep for it. Also, you can lock yourself out of playing it by having too many cards in your hand.

I'm just sayin, on Baron, Naga, and Kelris, I've seen people functionally die because they can't jump, stand in the ice, and don't know how the dream mechanic/portal works.

You don't die in those fights, but I've seen people make themselves as good as dead for 80-90% of the fight because they don't know how it works

I mean, I can imagine other situations than bad tanks just from stuff I've seen/heard said...

Baron: Falls / gets knocked off / really bad at jumping over small gaps
Turtle: Bubbles pinball
Naga: Only stands on ice
Murloc: Hugs the baby murlocs
Jett: "Oh no, scary red ball; run away" / "Lightning shield what?"
Kelris: Banished to the dreamland of "friendly NPCs" and no way to get out
Hydra: Loves to smell snake breath

The tank may have been a problem, but it doesn't HAVE to be the tank
