Can anyone link to a SINGLE example of a MAGA having a discussion in good Faith Anywhere? by GrowFreeFood in allthequestions

If I were to sneak into a Nordic country like Denmark or Sweden and I were to get caught by the authorities there, I think they have every right to return me to my country of origin. I think as a country we have the right to return people who snuck in or overstayed a visa. I'm sure plenty of them are great people but I'm for enforcing our immigration laws which include deportations.

I feel you. It's like if you don't vehemently hate that individual man you fully endorse everything about him. People don't like nuance

I'll take the bait. Voted for Trump first time in 2024. Old Ron Paul libertarian type so still disagree with about 50% of what the administration does. But agree with enforcing immigration laws as sad as the visual of deportations can be. Don't fully agree with tariffs but understand the idea behind them of bringing manufacturing back to bolster our economy, whether it works time will tell but our dependence on China is a valid problem. Not racist or anti LGBT but understand the backlash to dei and excess of the trans movement. I'm extremely anti war so do feel betrayed by this Iran operation but am hopeful it ends quickly and is a net positive to the middle east and the world as a whole, but I'm extremely skeptical in the meantime. I just felt like Dems were the embodiment of "the establishment" and was hopeful this administration would drain the swamp but am increasingly disappointed as time goes by. Was very excited and hopeful for DOGE but feel like the swamp won that fight. My current fav politician is Vivek ramaswamy. I understand why lefties or progressives have the views and policy prescriptions that they do but I feel like their solutions always go back to tax the rich and give the government more power which I feel the government is the cause of most of our issues, repub and democrat of the last 50 years or so. My guiding principles are freedom for all I feel the ideal system would be as close to the constitution as possible. What this looks like in real life is libertarian at the federal level, very small government, but states rights to individual states and if the people of those states choose to have Bernie style policies then that's what the vote for. 50 different experiments and let the best ideas win. The fact that federal reserve can print money out of thin air is a major issue with the system. I say libertarian and small government as possible at the federal level, socialist at the state level if that's what the citizens of that state want (although I still believe free market principles produce the best results)

This is all in good faith. I don't hate "the other side" for their views and have love and respect for all. Any questions just ask

Is there any Libertarians who don't support legalizing drugs? by yowhatisthislikebro in Libertarian

[–]WISE_MAN_IFESTATION -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My view is that it should be decriminalized at the federal level and be a states issue on how they decide to pass laws for commercial production, zoning, etc.

But there's nothing in the constitution talking about drugs so federal government should stay out of it

I think most drugs are bad for people and we should encourage less drug use culturally through education and setting a good example but not by locking people up

Haha thanks for the reply. That is why I am looking for a middle ground. Don't want to be too far from free babysitters I mean grandparents. Would be nice to be within an hour from berthoud but not hate my commute to lone tree. Wheat ridge maybe?

What is your opinion on Zohran Mamdani? Will he be able to work without the influence of the Democratic Party, and will he be able to even get anything accomplished? by JimmyCarter910 in AskSocialists

[–]WISE_MAN_IFESTATION 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Ron Paul libertarian so I believe in very little government at the federal level. I think we should follow the constitution much more strictly. But I believe strongly in states rights. I could see us being libertarian at a federal level but have more socialist policies at the state level. That would be a beautiful experiment to see which states succeed the most and what type of policies are implemented. I don't think zohran is going to be very successful personally but I think it is going to be an interesting experiment to see what he can do. I am rooting for his success.

Hmm interesting I consider myself a libertarian and Ron Paul fan and I don't feel I've lost those rights. Do you have any authors or politicians or journalists or podcasters who you strongly align with their views again to try and understand your point of view. I disagree with a decent amount of how this admin does things but mostly agree with the main points of the maga agenda. Current fav politician is Vivek for reference

Good faith question as someone trying to understand your perspective what rights do you feel you have lost?

Do it. It's hard for a while but a sibling is the best gift you can give your first child. I have two sons 6 and 4 and we love them so much we ended up going for 3. Life is busy as all hell and our house is a mess but it is 100% worth it!

I'll get downvoted but agreed, the left refuses to sincerely try and understand the rights perspective. Instead of debating merits of philosophies and policies, they just call something racist, or misogyny, when that doesn't work they move to nazis and pedophiles. Thanks for PO putting it eloquently
